    Just throwing that out there.

I thought we outplayed NY in every phase, but I hope that our defense's performance doesn't get lost in the shuffle of our strong running game and the crazy referreeing. Our D gave up two legit FGs, and one TD that should not have been (BS pass interference penalty gets them close, we stop them, BS personal foul gives them 1st and goal at the 1). The other TD, of course, was made by their defense, and also BS. So 6 points against a legitimately good offense with weapons all over. Not bad, eh?

I think I had a great game too! Once I relaxed later in the game and the officials starting making better calls...and then I got my chicken and fries...and i cleaned my plate damnit...all by myself! WOW! Hahaha

Great to see the defense play a solid game, I hated tearing up the defense all year, such a foreign thing to do, always have loved the defensive side.

Isn't it amazing when you play with passion what can happen?
My question is why doesn't it happen every week? Does it take the defending
Super bowl champs to charge this unit up? Good things happen when you give
    110%

But the league has figured out Lebeau's schemes. It's doomsday if we don't switch to the 4-3.

when you do something everyday it becomes routine no matter how much you try not to let it, or how much you care. being attacked by the refs that way is enough to get anyone fired up, obviously!

They have figured him out, which is why we can't get pressure. The Oline always knows who is coming and a big part of Lebeau's scheme, and a big part of the 3-4 in general is to disguise who is coming and who is dropping into coverage. We aren't fooling anyone which is why we're not getting pressure. I much prefer the 4-3. Just line up and smash through the Oline, no disguises, no gimmicks, no taking up blockers to free other guys, just get on your horse and go after that QB.

We are playing well right now though and I hope it continues. Not getting pressure on a QB is usually a recipe for disaster though.

The D has stepped up to another level no doubt. I knew fourth quarter stops were going to be huge in this game and I think they had at least two. I didn't think this D had this type of performance still in it so I am surely glad to be wrong. However, the sting of Oakland/Tennessee is not quite gone so I'm not 100% buying it just yet. Three wins in a row though, gotta love that.

The defense and the whole team actually has been showing improvement the last few weeks, I'm sure playing a team like the Giants had something to do with them getting up for the game but I think it just has more to do with the Steelers finally putting it all together.

A large part of our supposed lack of pressure is qb's are getting rid of the ball faster than defenders can physically get there. Which is exactly what Haley is doing with the offense.

I agree! Lewis has been playing great the past few games and so has Will Allen.
