    1. Mason Rudolph had the chance to show that he can be the man, and basically showed that he isn't

    2. Defense should be ashamed of the way they played the run most of the game

    3. Once again, we played down to the competition

    4. Kendrick Green had a game to forget ... Again

    5. This tie feels like a loss

    6. For all the talk about pressley Harvin's inconsistencies, when he does boom one, we can't cover it

    7. Hard to see former Steelers almost sink us 2 weeks in a row

    8. Hope TJ's ok..... I don't think we can endure an extended absence

    9. Nice to see Highsmith step up when TJ went down

    10. Anyone getting over 65% right in the pickem needs to head over to the nearest casino

#3 should be #1. This is Mike Tomlin's trademark. Rudolph demonstrating he isn't a starting NFL QB is 1a. The FO has been delusional AF with QB drafting over the past decade.

#10 so true. NFL be bat poop crazy.

My take: The Steelers will be embarking on a journey to find a QB. There will be growing pains. I just hope it's not a Terry to Ben journey.

Friermuth had a bad game. So did DJ. Washington disappeared after the 1st quarter. Harris was the best receiver today and he's a RB.

He is the best offensive player on the team. Offensive MVP so far, Just think if he
    had an OL and QB.

    • There were so many bad timed injuries.
    • The announcers kept bringing up some Detroit TE that got injured where....until then...the Lions run game was running between the tackles and even the edges.
    • I very rarely see the D out physicled against a one dimensional offense but here we are.
    • I havent been this frustrated since the game where the Jags beat the Steelers and Blake effn Bortles in that playoff game.
    • I am probably coming off as a whiney little *****...my phone is getting bombed about what a poor played game...no excuse but the elements and grass didnt help.
    • Whats up with this grass issue. I mean ...who is managing that mess...I know it gets a lot of usage but its a real embarrassment.

Bright side - guys out today: TJ, Haden, Ben, Juju, Claypool, Tuitt, Alualu, Dotson, Turner... and others got dinged

Dark side - of the guys missing only TJ, Claypool and Dotson are part of the future.

2022 Offense Needs: QB, WR, C or G, maybe OT, backup RB
2022 Defense Needs: DT, ILB, CB, S, depth OLB

Also, the entire coaching staff sucks.

To me there were a few things exposed:

#1 mason is not a starting Qb.

#2 our WR’s really do suck. It’s not just Ben or anything else. They don’t get open, they have bad hands, and poor ball skills.

#3 our secondary is bad . Tomlin is bad. The WR’s are bad, the Steelers are officially in rebuilding mode. Play for next season.

We are going thru a rebuild of the team. Ben is in his last year, we don't have his successor. We have some good pieces with Harris, Fermuith, and a few others. The games this year and the win margin is telling to our rebuild. We are doing just enough to not allow us to get the draft position we need for a quick turnaround. Give credit to the heart of the players we have.

I think we are in for a few long years as Steeler Fans and welcome the journey to us getting to the top again.

Mason looked like a career backup today. He's not a long term answer.

If Ben makes his way through the rest of the season relatively unscathed, Art II and Kevin will try to bring him back for another year. This draft class is lean on starting QB's, they won't pay big FA money, and there's no one on the roster. I hope I'm wrong.

Devin Bush is bad at football. Can't overstate how bad that trade up was, cost us three picks. Franchise altering.

they might not win another game this season. Seriously between how this team looks, injuries pilling up now, and the schedule I could see it. 5-11-1 gets us a high pick

This is from Brian Batko of the post gazette. I have to agree with every word he's put on paper here:

Trending down: Devin Bush. You could say Bush’s arrow was never pointing up to begin with this season in his return from a torn ACL in 2020, but he might have been at his worst Sunday, both in run support and coverage. He also negated a huge interception in overtime by Minkah Fitzpatrick — another first-round pick considered in this spot — with a defensive holding call. Bush isn’t making splash plays, but he also seems to always be involved — or, more accurate, not involved — on the opponent’s big gains. His effort on a 42-yard touchdown run by Godwin Igwebuike, a converted safety, was laughable.

I have to be careful how I say this and I dont have the All 22 but Bush honestly looked to be dogging it where he is engaged and not fighting through or off the block.

I remember McCullers dogging it and even Ricardo Coclough who dogged it once Josh Cribbs kickoff returns and Tomlin released him the net day.

Maybe he just doesnt have the strength yet to leverage quickly with that injury but the television engineers were even going back to it.

I never played a down of organized football but he honestly looked like a liability that will now be exploited.

I thought he was nasty in college but maybe I was thinking he would be a Derrick Brooks LB. lol

They Zach Banner'd us and we did nothing to adjust. Brought an extra lineman in as a TE for extra run blocking and proceeded to run all over us.

They even ran the exact same WR screen plays as us lol

On the first TD run, he stood flatfooted until the guard engaged him and then just titty-jousted with him while the RB rumbled to the EZ. I saw him jogging and watching another run through broken tackles, not willing to get in the pile.

Maybe the injury spooked him and he's playing it safe, but he's playing himself out of the 5th year option.

The thing that pissed me off the most was that our defense was literally asleep at the wheel for three quarters of the game UNTIL TJ got hurt - THEN they decided to put out some effort for their fallen teammate. The tackling was really REALLY bad. Offensively, I wasn't expecting much. Back up QB, no Chase, losing two O linemen. It became a MASH unit by the end of the game.

I like how everyone says the players suck (WRs, ILBs, secondary) but then blames Tomlin. Maybe he should be praised for stealing wins with subpar talent.

Rudolph isn't even a viable backup. Even a backup NFL quarterback should make the throws he missed yesterday. If a defense gives you wide open receivers in the end zone twice, you need to get two touchdowns out of it. He got only one.

New England is making a good case that if you draft a top QB, you can plug and play good quality free agents and win.

This game did not show Rudolph isn’t a starting a quarterback. His entire career prior to that showed that (outside of this board). This game just reinforced that.

I'm inclined to agree with you, but with my black and gold colored shades on, I'm reminded that players like drew Brees and Steve young etc... Needed a few yrs to develop... In fact, conventional wisdom used to be that a franchise QB needed at least 3 - 4 yrs to develop, until Ben came long and changed the game
