Is TJ still favorite to win DPOY?

Most sites have Myles Garrett or Trevon Diggs taking it. Garret is the sack leader with 10.5. TJ has 8.5.

I think Trevon Diggs wins it. He has 7 INTs with 2 pick sixes so far.

I think for TJ to win it he has to be the sack leader + have at least 2 defensive scores. He does force fumbles like crazy which helps but he needs to have some pick sixes too.

 

Watt has played 6 games. 8.5 sacks and 3 fumbles . The brown turd has 10.5 sacks in 8 games. Diggs can’t possibly maintain those stats. And has 7 games played.

watt has single handedly won 2 or 3 games .

 

Right unfortunately at the end of the year the voters go by straight production, rather than production per game played.

 

true but thinking Watt catches him. They also look at who was most valuable. Without Watt we just flat out suck. Hopefully he stays healthy.

 

Well why didn't they go by production last year, TJ led the league in sacks, QB hits, pressures and still didn't win it.

 

Diggs just goes for the pick. He allows a lot of big plays because of it, boom or bust.


Watt does everything

 

He just can't fade away at the end of the season. He has to finish strong

 

Well, Garrett is up to 12 sacks tota,l so far.

 

TJ Watt had the most sacks in 2020 but did not get anything.... sans a petty award.


Here is hoping his hot motor kicks into overdrive come December. Should he do that... he can win it.

 

He got robbed that's for sure. Travesty. This season will be a toss up. Watt is in the mix though.

 

Screw the DPOY award just kick some ass in a playoff game.

 

Update: Garrett still leads with 12 sacks. TJ has 11.5.

 

Garrett has played 9 games, TJ 7. He missed one that can't be made up, but every "sack" leaders team has played 9 game, Pittsburgh only 8.

 

Time to utilize our secret weapon, Mason Rudolph, and get Garrett suspended!

Sad thing is that maybe true. It's like he almost has 2 double what they do , or something.
You know I didn't want them spending all that money on Him, but I have 2 say I was totally wrong.
It's not that I didn't think He was great. I just thought they could spend it on more players.
Again. I was wrong. As long as he healthy.....He's worth every cent.
