If you're referring to me, and stimulating interesting conversation about our favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, you are correct.

DM me if you need help starting thought-provoking threads, buddy.

Yes, it does, we will wait until their contracts are up and go after them in fa. And then, don't play them and cut/trade them for next to nothing

Let’s be real you start fear provoking threads. Always aimed at reminding people what our shortcomings are or how dumb the team is.
It’s pretty telling by the amount of flack you catch what people think about your posts.

You catch the most flak when you're over the target.

I can't help it if people would rather make personal attacks than argue the point at hand. There is plenty of intelligent discussion going on in this thread, shame you have none to contribute.

You can't accept the fact that Leonard wasn't a first round player, get over it. What part of a small school ILB who ran slow, and Colbert/Tomlin didn't attend his pro day don't you understand?

Ah, your passive aggressive snarks that attack someone for something you're actually guilty of. Refreshing.

You brought the subject up. On a message board. If you didn't want to be challenged on misrepresenting yourself - again - I'd advise you not post misrepresentations.

This is a fair point; what I posted was muddled. On one hand, I quoted everything you posted in this thread; on the other, I was including some past phrases you used in older threads in quotes. So while I wasn't attempting to misconstrue your words, it could have easily become unclear. My mistake.

You never backed it up in any of the threads I was part of, despite some asking you numerous times. As I said, your only "representation" was to challenge the other poster to post what they could find. As a former journalist, I'm sure you know how dubious a response that is.

Look, I'm not really interested in debating this argument again. If you can post the numerous rankings that had Leonard ahead of Edmunds - or to the thread where you previously posted them - fine, we can quickly move on to more compelling topics.[/quote]

Edmunds wasn't a first-round prospect, but that didn't stop the Steelers from reaching for him there.

I understand the situation just fine. You, on the other hand, have some serious comprehension issues. Your logic is the Steelers didn't want Leonard, so passing on him was fine. That's just stupid. The question is whether or not they should have taken him, and the answer is very clearly yes.

Thor, you need to work on your use of the quote function. Care to try that again?

So they should've drafted a small school player, who Tomlin/Colbert didn't attend his pro day? Get out of here with that nonsense .

There are plenty of great players from small schools, so that really isn’t relevant. One of them should have been at his pro day. They blew it.

Leonard is playing like a 1st rounder, Edmunds is not. That is all that matters. The Steelers blew it by not taking the better player.

SR6 probably thinks nobody screwed up passing on Brady because he was a "6th round player".

What steelersrule is trying to do here, and he isn't the only poster who has pulled this crap, is set up a "Tails, he wins. Heads, I lose" argument. By his logic, if the Steelers didn't want a guy, passing on him must have been the right decision. Of course, anybody interested in applying logic and reason knows that is utter bull****.

I didn't misrepresent myself at all, but I'm glad you see that your response was inaccurate. I'm not digging those rankings up again. If you want to remain ignorant on the topic, that is your decision.

He's imputing player value based on their draft selection, no matter how the guy is playing.

Using those rules, Brady was the 199th best player in his draft, Daniel Jones was the 6th best.

That was the year there was a run on ILBs in the first round before the Steelers picked, Leonard wasn't a first round type of player, so they had no interest in taking him there.

Leonard had no special traits coming out of college, so the team didn't reach for him.

Mayock is the only one I've seen that had Edmunds higher, and it wasn't by much.

Here's the one from SI, which doesn't even have Edmunds among the top 100 players available.

    https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/03/07/nfl-draft-top-prospects-big-board-top-100

Here is another one with Leonard well ahead of Edmunds, though this guy loved Mason Rudolph, so take that as you will.
