Red zone offense

Two of the key plays yesterday - Muth's 4th down spectacular TD catch and the botched fake FG - were results of 3 downs of fairly pathetic failed red zone opportunities. I hope they can figure out something to do to get more productivity in goal-to-go situations, though "it is the hope that kills you".

 

I wanna see them give it to Najee next time they are inside the 5 yard line at least two maybe even 3 straight times. If they give him the ball enough times down there he is gonna get you the 3-5 yards you need to get that ball in the end zone. But I’m with you though the offense and play calling needs to better in the red zone and especially inside the 5 and 10 yard lines. I wanna see them continue to use Friermuth down there as well. His hands are like Velcro and if you put the ball in his direction more times then not he is gonna catch it more then likely get it in the end zone for a TD.

 

It reminded me part of why Bruce Arians was fired. His offense was great between the 20’s. Couldn’t score inside the red zone.

Was Arians fired because of the 20's thing or is it something you "made up" in your mind? I suspect it's something you made up.

The real reason why Arians was probably let go was because his relationship with Ben got to close.

 

I was surprised with how the run game was working why they didn't try the Ebron play from 2 weeks ago sell run to the right and give it to a guy going left. Either for a regular score or a 2pt try. The Claypool trickery the did last year as well.

Someone posted their after thoughts on the game and said Green would be moved to Guard and they'd get a true center....

Kid is starting to get his feet under him as a center at the NFL level and is throwing dudes when he gets his hands on them and keeps them out of his chest. If he makes year 2 development jump he's a solid center taken in round 3!
