[Announcement] Shutting The Site Down...

...for a day or two later this week. Sorry if the title scared you.

We'll be initiating some upgrades to the site this week that will require a little bit of down time. I tentatively plan to start Wednesday PM, but if something comes up I will let everyone know. I can't say exactly how long we'll be down, but I'll be working as fast as I can to get us back online as quickly as possible.

We'll be moving to a much more robust server setup, as the amount of traffic we get (mainly on game days) has grown to be too taxing for our current setup. The other change will be something much more tangible, and one you'll notice immediately. We're changing to a better, and more modern forum platform. I think it's something everyone will like, and I think it's something everyone here deserves.

All the topics, posts, user info, etc... will be transferred over, so don't worry about any of that. Everyone's passwords however will be automatically reset and will need to be changed by you when you log back in. I'll be sending an email to everyone when the site comes back online, which will include a link for resetting your password. One important note, is that your bookmark to this site may not work correctly depending on where you usually land when you get here. It should redirect you, but it would be smart to aim for the homepage when the site comes back online. http://thesteelersfans.com.

The new platform won't be drastically different, so it shouldn't be a difficult transition, but I'll do everything I can to help make it easy on everyone.

I've edited the original post to reflect a Wednesday move, as I forgot we have a Monday night game this coming week. That will allow us another day to celebrate today's triumphant victory.

I'm at anyone's disposal who needs help figuring anything out when the upgrades are finished, but I promise it won't be difficult or much different from how it is now.
