Looks good! You could pack a gentlemen's club with a photo like that.

I haven't drank much beer in the last few months. I've got about 18 gallons of various homebrew wine, cider, and "skeeter pee" (a fermented lemon wine-like concoction of sorts) that I've been slowly picking at.

Interesting, Dogfish Head Brewery and makers of Samuel Adams, the Boston Beer Co are merging. I know we had a member here for a while that was a big Dogfish fan, think it was even on his avatar.

VERY interesting. Sam Adams had been struggling lately. Dogfish Head seems like an 800 lb gorilla, but they're neither as big nor have the distribution they would like. May be the answer to both their issues.

Depends on who is doing the actual brewing. DFH makes solid beer while SA is pretty basic.

Why did no one tell me the USA had its very own Trappist brewery?!?!

This is just a solid ale. I'd rank it just slightly below, say, Chimay white label. But a very well made ale. Fruity, but balanced. Crisp. And just a hint of banana (has to be the yeast they used).

I got my hands on their quad too. Will try that in a little while.

The quad is amazing. Not the best I ever had. But right up there. Malty, rich, fruity, not overly sweet but just enough sweetness. They hit this one out of the park.

Guinness went and did a bad thing. A very very bad thing. Stopped into a local store today and noticed Guinness has released a chocolate mint bourbon barrel aged stout.
I love Guinness. I love bourbon barrel aged stouts. I love a peppermint patty as much as the next guy. I sure as hell don’t want all 3 combined.

I was in Mongolia and the nomads had fermented mares milk. That was different. I still didn’t drink it.

I definitely would have tried it. I remember drinking something called 15 Tigers, or something like that made with a few types of alcohol, and I believe 15 types of spices, and herbs with some Thai people. Anyway I got extremely drunk off of it. LoL. :guiness:

Dogfish head released a beer a few years back where all the grain was chewed by employees. That was a hard no from me. As was rogue brewing beard envy. They combed the brewmasters beard for yeast, cultivated it, and subsequently brewed a beer.

    /edit here it is

It is one year today since i had my last beer. Feels amazing! Not going back to that dark path anymore.
I try to avoid all the fattening foods and drinks https://betterme.world/articles/fattening-foods/ and also do some exercises three to four times a week. I already hear a lot of compliments about the way i look and that is even more motivating.
