Say what you want about Ben…our receivers drop way too many passes.

You watched that mess twice?? Once was more than enough. This “line” is going to get Ben seriously hurt. 3 dropped passes to end the game? Quite frankly, Ben played like crap but, catch the ball when he manages to get it there!

Pointing out Ben is no longer capable of playing at a high level is not crying, it’s stating facts.

Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

And putting it all at Hos feet is just funny.
Guess Mahomes needs Benched also...I mean 1- 2 , threw a stupid pick, it's clearly nothing 2 do with His rebuild o-line like us, or His terrible D....Like ours is with all the injuries.:roflmao:

    I mean....

If Big Ben played much better in Weeks 1 to 3, I would agree with this statement. However, since that loss to Washington last season, Big Ben has not been the same.... rather, since that hit DeMarcus Lawrence laid on him actually. Considering that Big Ben is a hinderance to fully unlocking Matt Canada's Offensive Potential, perhaps it is time to realize that Big Ben is finished and that Matt Canada's Offense needs a "performance upgrade" at the QB Position...... or rather, a QB who will open up the playbook more.

In addition, outside of Malik Willis, Matt Corral, Carson Strong, Spencer Rattler (yes I said that) and possibly even Desmond Ridder, there really is not a QB I would want in the 2022 other than the aforementioned. However, given the fact that Kevin Colbert has only scouted the likes of Sam Howell and Malik Willis, both of whom could likely be gone long before the Steelers pick is in, the next major step is Offensive Line; Offensive Tackle specifically. Kevin Colbert has not drafted an Offensive Tackle in the First Round; 21 years!! That has to change if "the guy" is not within reach or if the Steelers cannot get him.

Besides, even if the team were to get one of those QBs, getting him the protection he needs is paramount. If anything and, call me crazy, do not think for a second that someone like Evan Neal is out of the question. Yes, he is likely a Top Five pick but, who is to say that can change over the coming months?

He’s not the only problem but he’s the biggest problem.

What does Mahomes have to do with it? I’m not interested in whataboutisms, I’m interested in having a competent QB, I’d take Mahomes with a 104 fever over Ben, you kidding me?

A couple of weeks ago I would have said that. However, after what we’ve seen in this “easier” stretch of our schedule, we may be on a collision course with a hard-earned top 5 pick.

    Problem???

Problems can be solved. Issues cannot. Big Ben is a Big Issue... no matter how one slices it. His inability to push the ball down the field is severely hampering this Offense; Defenses now only stacking the box and eliminating the middle of the field all together. Big Ben has not shown to beat this since the loss against the Football Team in 2020.

Call it like it is @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace. We are way past problem. We are in full ISSUE MODE here.

I'd take Mahomes also ,but then what's his problem. No use talking 2 you about it You have had an agenda against Ben even while winning last year....so right now this all serves what You wanted 2 see. I would say more , but You are the mod team.
    So I shall tread nicely.

If so, do not expect it to be a QB.... as much as I want it to. Should that be the case Elvis, that essentially means there are more needs along this team than merely the QB Position. Offensive Tackle has not seen any First Round investment under Colbert..... EVER. That said, I expect that to continue UNLESS Colbert visits an Alabama game one of these days. Should that be the case, Evan Neal will also be under consideration; a great 1st Offensive Tackle pick in as many as 25+ years if I do say so myself.

Even if we were to draft a QB that high, see Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson and Justin Fields for more information on why investing in an Offensive Line is key to the survival of one's own QB. Ironically enough, Pittsburgh were the ones who initially wrote the rulebook on this with Big Ben; that underrated group of lineman being a major reason why he was so successful early on before 2008 of course. Heck, 2010 onwards, a refocus of it.

Besides, as I see it, while there is no clear cut Franchise QB in this class (that I have seen anyways), having a clear cut "Blindside Protection Service" is the next best choice. Evan Neal was already a Top 5 pick heading into this season. Should he continue his play, book him right behind Kyle Hamilton; someone we REALLY DO NOT need but a player I would not mind drafting.

That's some mighty big wishing there about where the Steelers pick, and not being in the top 5. This could be that year. Who looks worse? Jets, Detroit, maybe Washington, maybe Bears. 2 of those 4 have their future QBs.

This, you can't have time off of practices and expect to be in sync with the young guys! They're out there running with Rudolph and then Ben rolls in for snaps on the last day and gameday.

Come on man , the o line can’t block anyone , Big Ben isn’t mobile, he can’t throw the ball over 10 yards with any zip . Any defense can rush 4 players the lbs become the d line and the secondary become linebackers they know its going it be a run or a we hitch or screen because bens arm strength is horrendous. He’s the laughing stock of the league . He should preserve his legacy and now out gracefully. Rudolph isn’t the answer and I think Haskins could change the whole dynamic of the Steelers offense, he’s fast and has a cannon of an arm , he can’t do any worse then what’s happening now , at least it would be easier to swallow. Bens being selfish and chasing personal records putting himself before the team and organization that supported him through motor cycle accidents and sex charges , he should get that 400th td and retire immediately he’s not going to win another super bowl or see the playoffs outside of that 400 milestone there is nothing else he will accomplish besides a losing record . I place 75% of the blame on him for being to proud to say I am no longer able to perform at a level to be successful in this league.

Given how today has turned out, should it continue, expect the team to be within Top Five selection; something that has not happened since Terry Bradshaw was selected; over a half century ago!!

If that is truly the case, draft the "next one".... assuming a team does not trade Heaven and Earth to get whomever the Steelers may have in mind. That said, see Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields and Zach Wilson for more information about why merely drafting a QB does not solve everything. Should Evan Neal still be on the board... I would snatch him in a heart beat. Why??

Franchise Caliber Offensive Tackles do not grow on trees.

Best part of that top 5 pick position is getting those 2 picks in the top 50! picking as late as the Steelers usually do it's 24-56, how great would it be to go 5-37?

Would definitely be a first for me; a sight to see!!!......

A sight though that is by its contrast; getting such a high reward means that the Steelers have finished below .500; way below .500.

    You mad bro? :lolol:

Yes, this is what I wanted to see, to see us waste a top rated defense (before the injuries) and have a losing season. You nailed it!

You’re right, trying to compare Mahomes and Ben is not worth talking about, one had an off game and one has had about 10 off games and counting and clearly washed up. How do you not see that when you look at those graphs where Ben is throwing the football? I know you like Ben but come on man.

Don’t take my criticism of Ben personally, why would you want to attack me for my opinion of Ben, I mean I know you are the president of the Big Ben fan club but take a deep breath, it’s not about you :drinks:

Your stat line for Najee might be low on the catch side by the end of the year 14-102 today gives him 20-149 already.

    Well!!!

It is a prediction after all!! Did not expect any of this happening; so suddenly anyway. I knew Najee would get his catches in... but only by week 5 I thought his touch count would heat up. I was wrong!!! :lolol:

Mason has one major aspect going for him that Big Ben simply does not; mobility. Matt Canada Offenses can rely on without but having such greatly opens up his play book. Mason, at the very least, can move and manipulate the defense that way. Big Ben simply cannot.

In comparison to Big Ben mind you. I did not mean that as a whole. He is not very mobile but more so than Big Ben is at this point in his career.
