How many wins before you feel we are a Super Bowl contender this year?

    Last year we started out 11-0 but I somehow didn't feel like we were true contenders...then we finished the year going 1-5 and crashing out of the playoffs early.

    What type of start will it take for you to believe we are true Super Bowl contenders this year?

    None. We aren’t super bowl contenders and will be lucky to win 2 more games this season.

    It isn't about a win total to me. It is about the offense not looking completely toothless. If the offense can get a running game going and at least occasionally make some plays down the field then I think we have a legit chance with this defense. Obviously everything can change with crushing injuries. This is the NFL after all.

    It is all about having it together at the end of season. Barring injuries I'm pretty damn confident our D keeps us in most games. AFCN is a tough ass division. Get a running game going and Ben stays relatively healthy we will make some noise for sure.

    I know we will lose games but my confidence is high. Only major injuries could deflate me. I'm convinced the playoffs will be starting for the Steelers the last two games of season. Those two games are going to decide a lot in the AFCN.

    1 playoff win would be nice. We haven't really done that in a decade or so.

    SB winners usually have 12+ wins under the belt. But it's the post season that matters and Tomlin has been terrible in the post season. so hopefully he's turned that around. You can't be one dimensional in the playoffs.

    So long as MT is leading this team it will be a challenge to be a SB contender. Not saying it can't happen but he can sometimes be his own worst enemy.

    For now though let's just focus on beating the Raiders.

    Defensively, we're already SB caliber.

    If the offense can improve vastly over last year, I'll start feeling it.
