I would think a Pats fan wearing a Brady jersey tells me at least in part, they wish the team stepped up to keep Tom a "forever Pat" instead of moving on. Tough call on that since you do have to move on eventually.

It's interesting that the Steelers have done the opposite with Ben.

Although I don't have inside information, what I have observed living here is that it came down to a question many people wondered: Is the Pat's success because of Coach or QB or a true equal synergy that has never been seen or sustained this long?

I'm sure it killed Mr. Kraft to have to watch Brady walk out, but he knew it was going to happen eventually. Giving to Tom financially was not the issue from what I've heard. It was about input and direction on the roster for the term of the contract.

Weren't you on the "old board" back in the day? The hucklebuck?
