    yep
    it was awful.

    that said:
young unit, crowd noise had to really be hard in this first game. Curious w better communication, how week 2 looks.
Ben is the consummate pro - kept their heads in it, helped them 'not to quit'
scour the waver wire - has to be someone who can step in and play better NOW and let someone younger develop.
2 ROOKS starting on ANY line is never good.

and maybe Canada can get Fichtner out of his head and let Ben throw some intermediate routes, that will keep the LB's and S's in check. they certainly crowded the LOS all game long.

Do they try to make a trade at this point? This defence is really good again on yesterday’s evidence, the skill group are good, Claypool looks ready to break out if he gets time to get down the field before Ben is forced to throw, and we know Najee can be a difference maker if he gets a gap. Nothing works on offence if you are getting beaten at the line of scrimmage however. They will face better pass rushing units this year than Buffalo, who are average at best.

Russell Okung is a free agent, there are other guys that can help. By all accounts they like Banner but he is on IR and we’ve no idea what he is going to contribute, if anything. Perhaps it’s too early to panic at this stage but it has to be a worry for the front office

Is that the guy that wants paid in Bitcoin.

Haeg seemed to have a good camp and I saw him out there on special teams, so I am nut sure why he didn't get a few snaps yesterday.

    Is Tyrell Crosby still available?

Okung, lol yes, good player, if he has stayed in shape he should be miles ahead of Chuks

I think Crosby is injured, not sure

Not great numbers, for sure, but Moore’s is encouraging. I expect better from Dotson, but it’s only his 2nd year and we have to remember, he played in front of empty seats last season. That would have been a tough environment. He’ll be better.

Green’s number is low, but I saw somewhere that his win rate was at the top among centers for week 1. Can’t remember where I read that, but I’ll try to find it.

Okung still does not have a contract. At 32, I wonder if he will just hang up the old spikes. He said earlier in the year that the Steelers could not afford him. Maybe they could afford him now? He is indisputably talented but is a bit of a squirrel.
Interesting that he was once traded for Trai Turner.

You know what? My expectations of how this line was going to perform were so low, that I actually think the O-line over-performed. Ben stayed clean most of the game. Najee have a couple of nice runs. This is against a stout Bills front. I'm happy. This is only week one and they look better than I thought.

Jackson a bit more mobile than BB though.

Jackson also had two fumbles tonight running. Allen is pretty nimble as well and he didn't take well either.

If the Ravens are smart, they won't throw much against the Steelers. Even with all those backs injured, they still seem to have an explosive tailback and Jackson to run the ball.

The Steelers really have a big problem with Okorafor. He has done nothing but regress. He is constantly getting shoved into the backfield.

I'm good with everyone except Oko. He sucks something awful. Try Haeg, sign someone, whatever. I guess we don't know what Banner's status really is. There have to be better RT options around.

Yeah, maybe they’re pretty confident that Banner will be back after week 3 and he can take over at RT? I don’t know… Hopefully they’re not settled on Chuks in the starting lineup.

Run defense is my ? mark. Stop it first is the scheme but doesn't always work out for the Steelers.

I wonder what AV's grade against the Raiders was last night? Do they give negative numbers?

I don't have access to week by week stats, I'm not a subscriber. I could only get the cumulative.

I did hear, however, that Ben was their 12th rated QB this week. I was actually shocked.
