Can you make a thread title that’s not misleading?

a writer picking the Steelers as a potential trade partner isn’t a trade rumor.

    Dear Mr. Maddog

It appears you posted another fake news title.

Just in case you want to correct it before you look bad.

Jesus, you guys are sensitive. This wasn't a "Steelers lose Chase Claypool" Subject line (that is still intact and unedited, BTW) and it makes perfect sense to read between the lines given the state of our offensive tackles. I'd bet the odds are high that they are one of these teams.

Why bring in a guy that would at best be our 4th OT? Just run with what we have. We are probably running with Chuks until Moore surpasses him (this year or next) then drafting another mid round tackle to be the swing guy. Simple as that. Maybe we bring him in and cut Haeg if we are really in love with this kid? Idk. Not worth the draft pick imo.

I am so confused on why Moore is practicing and playing RT right now.

Unless there is something majorly wrong with Banner this make no since. If there is something wrong with Banner then we may have to trade for anyone that can play Tackle immediately.

Probably because the plan is for him to be the swing tackle, backing up both the right and left sides on game day. I'd rather take a chance on Moore starting at LT and have Chuks be the swing guy, but apparently Chuks is going to get first crack at protecting Ben’s blind side after proving himself to be a perfectly mediocre RT last season.

That’s probably how it plays out. Moore has exceeded all expectations by all accounts and looks like a steal where they picked him but it would be a huge ask for a fourth round rookie to start at LT, regardless of what’s behind him. A year as the swing tackle might benefit him more in the long term.

As an aside, the signs are very good for this class, its looking like another good draft that builds on 2020. Early days of course, but Harris, Freirmuth, Green and Moore all look like potential starters in the medium term, and that’s after they picked Claypool, Highsmith and Dotson last year without their first or third round selections no less. I understand that all sorts of things can derail careers in the NFL but that’s really good drafting if it all comes to pass.

Might just be a precaution, but I have always wondered about Haeg. Could be ok, but when we signed him many from TB were saying good luck, we had no money at the time so pickings were slim. If anything Moore practicing at RT might say more about Haeg than Banner.

I think Haeg is more like a " gimmicky " player..6'6" #296, which in todays NFL is extremely on the light side...Idk of any NFL Tackles under #300...

He has been used in the past as a 6th OL...Maybe he will continue to be that " gadget " OL
