Just saw an article said basically we screwed the pooch by signing Schobert, as in messed up salary cap situation and limited how long we can lock up Watt.

I think management knows more than the article writer and did not paint themselves into a corner.

3.7 this season so they can sign Watt. Then the piper needs a little more love.

Yes, the “cheap” Steelers who always seem to cheaply spend right up to the cap.

Teegray Scales was waived to make room for Schobert.

They should have stocked up when Hodges was on the team with a corporate sponsorship. Duck tape for when you're quacking up.

as in what he means to the team. The numbers are very similar though. 9 picks, 24 passes defended, 9 forced fumbles, 549 tackles in 5 seasons. 11 picks, 69 passes defended, 18 forced fumbles, 1440 in 15 seasons .

I think this Schobert signing is like putting butter on your favorite potatoes.

So he is the Shaun Lee or Vander Esh we’ve been looking for since Shazier went out?

I see Duck got the start tonight for the Rams with Stafford sitting out. He was 6 for 8 but only for 35 yards.

Or they saw how bad their ILBs are in coverage in training camp, and preseason games.

Tomlin said it will be a battle between Joe and Bush to see who will have the green dot.

Spending up to the cap is different from laying out the kind of cash Watt is looking for.

Not for long, I watched some of that game against the Chargers, and he was actually throwing up some ducks.

The Schobert signing has no effect on Watt's long term deal. Watt's cap hit this year after he signs his deal will be less than his current $10 million hit.

Who is this player? Was he a free agent acquisition? Was he an inside linebacker? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
