My overreaction: Trey Edmunds makes the team as a FB

 

I may have overreacted about not going for a Hail Mary at the end of the first half in a meaningless preseason game but the Steelers were down 3-0 and it's a 57 yard pass with Haskins in there at QB. Taking a knee just seemed dumb to me. Especially when the team showed absolutely nothing up to that point except for the Punter having a decent game.

 

Quincy Roche will be in the pass rush rotation. Alex Highsmith will have 6 to 7 sacks on the year proving to be better than the naysayers

 

Highsmith was the best player on the field the few series that he played.

 

Hope Claypool is OK. WR will get thin in depth, quickly if he's out for any significant time.

 

He looked fine running around celebrating on the sidelines.

 

Its hard to overlook how Spillane played.

 

Norwood played well also , from what i seen

 

Ballage needs to not be seriously hurt, and then get a few more touches per game. Oh wait, sorry, overreaction? Ballage is HOF bound. There you go. Seriously, though, he looks much more ready right now to spell Harris than any of the others I saw last night.

A lot of these I think are feasible, and not over reactions.

 

Punter looked awesome. so far, the camp crushes, esp the corners that guys are in love with on here didn't look good. Spillane didn't look himself. Highsmith beat a 2nd string left tackle, him spelling ingram should be ok, uneventful game. but it's very early. the defense is gonna be good, but i am worried about the CB position.

 

Tomlin's fist pump is in mid season form!

 

His weight however is in complete offseason form.

 

Washington requested a trade when he saw Matthew Sexton in action and realised his days were numbered.

 

Unfortunately I've never been impressed with Benny Snell. Ballage looked like a much better short yardage option. I'd keep Snell at #3.

 

Jamir Jones OLB is a keeper

 

Mason Rudolph will be out of the league after this year.

 

I'm worried we will see his "Oh Siht" face too many times this season.

 

I'm trying real hard to hope against hope for him but if he is Ben's replacement we will be the doormat of the AFCN.

Said it before, we really have to get lucky drafting a QB and it damn well better be our #1 priority. My fear is they may look around the NFL and grab a free agent QB to replace him. Maybe Brady, just goofing.

 

Did you see those Dallas backup QBs? Mason is better than those guys, he will still have a job somewhere.

 

Our future QB after Ben is not on the roster this year.

 

Mason Rudolph will be the backup to Ben in 2022, cause that’s the Stiller way.
