The will. Wars are won in the will, slaughter them until you rot and they will still come. Kill thier heart and it breaks their will.

Yeah I've been pretty vocal with Ebron and Dionte. I was a little perplexed to why Vance Mcdonald was deemed no longer able to catch a football and why James Washington didn't get more playing time.

I see Dionte working hard so we'll see. Ebron looks like doesn't give a hoot. Preseason is getting close so we'll see my guess is the drop problem with Ebron will remind hope I'm wrong

Lol, I was being facetious. There's no difference whether you can't or won't do something if the outcome is the same.

I have tried before but Crichton's writing style was not holding my attention. That was a number of years ago though when my reading tastes were more narrowly focused.

I could probably say I've watched that movie the most out of any I've owned. Always a good "get away". Great insight, action and a totally underrated movie in Antonio Bandera's arsenal.

I really dove into his books for awhile. Gone too soon that's for sure. What was his last one....? Micro? Pretty good although it may have been finished by someone else. Not sure tho

I haven't read his last one yet. I only found out he passed about a month ago.

The drops are annoying as hell but what really bothers me is the compete lack of effort when blocking. It's one thing to suck at it but it's another entirely to not even try. Just inexcusable. He can't be replaced by Muth quickly enough.

I Agree, but I heard Him(Ebron) say He was really focused on becoming a complete TE this off season, and that included blocking. So ....maybe he'll be better. At least I Hope

He will still suck at it most likely but if he tries I am ok with him on an emotional level at least. The not even trying really got to me though.

Hearing the Heinz Field (I started to type Three Rivers, lol) crowd chanting "MOOOOOOOOTH" is going to be freaking awesome.

I think Eric better learn quickly the difference or he will be standing beside Matt Cananda and MT on the
    sideline.

Like I said, the outcome of can't or won't is the same. Really doesn't matter which.

Yes and no. The difference between can’t and won’t could be the quarter second that allows our RB to squeeze through the line on 4th & 1. Of course, I agree it’s much, much better to have someone who can and will.

Fine. You got me on that technicality. Point taken. I was just meaning that in general, if he can't do it, it doesn't get done well, and if he won't do it, it doesn't get done well.

It's hard for me to say I would rather have someone that has the ability and inconsistent desire over someone who's totally committed and just not as talented. If you had to choose, would you easily choose the guy who you don't know what you're going to get from him each play, or the guy who isn't as good, but consistent? Maybe that question belongs in the hypothetical question thread.

From how each of these examples influences others, I'll take the guy who lays it all out on the field and gets X- versus a more talented guy who won't lay it all out on the line and gets you the same X-. Sometimes team captains are not the best players on a team.

What physical limitation prevents Ebron from blocking well? He's got the size and strength, it's about technique and want to.

There is a perceived image that good blocking TE's can't catch and they get relegated to a glorified extra lineman. Same can be said of receiving TE's that they can't block. I think guys like Heath Miller are becoming more rare, the guy who is good at both. Catches and TD's get a TE noticed and paid, being a good blocker might eat into that so guys are reluctant to want to be known as a good blocker so they can be a bigger part of the offense.

Well being that he's on his 3rd team(Ebron) he should maybe change some things up.
Though I have heard it said He's been working at being a complete TE this Year. So...We shall see.

I think he could have a longer career if he does. Blocking technique and strength don't decline as fast as speed agility and your back and knees do. Once the athletic skills diminish you can still pancake a guy and be of use
