I know but I don't see any upcoming teams in the NFC up to the challenge to stop them getting there. Maybe the Stafford experiment will work in LA.

Win a Superbowl. Everyone assumes you're retiring. Come back and win another?

    Yeah. I'm cool with that.

I'm with you as a fan hoping for this, but how much are you betting on this happening? Let's see the receipts.

It would be truly awesome for that to happen. It would also surprise me a heck of a lot more than Elway’s final run did.

Ben's last true dominating playoff game was the 2006 AFC Championship Game. Ben would have to win some of these playoff games instead of playing 2 quarters well and 2 quarters of mediocre play.

Why??? I know a lot of people who at the time thought Elway was done, or is because of something else????

    1. Elway’s Broncos had a very effective offensive line while ours is a bunch of question marks that need to mostly perform better than they’ve ever performed in their lives.
    2. Elway was in his late 30’s, but was vastly more athletic and physically capable than Ben is now.
    3. Elway embraced the fact that his Broncos had become a run-first team, and pushed his own ego aside.

However, in Ben’s favor, he has a defense that could be truly dominating if it stays healthy (although from your own take on our corner situation, that could be questionable as well).

By far my biggest reason is #1. I want to believe that our O line will develop into a cohesive, quality until in 2021, but so much has to go right for that to happen. I just don’t see it happening this season. We have one preseason games to get through before the “predict the score” thread starts for week 1, but if I had to predict the score vs. the Bills right now I would have us scoring 13 or less because of the O line. I really hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am.

No. It was the year than Denver beat Carolina in the SB (Manning’s last season), and made Cam Newton pout after playing keep away from his own fumble.

Edit - the game where we were leading, and driving in the 4th quarter, when a 3rd string RB whose name I can’t even remember fumbled in Denver territory.

    Yep.
    I really like this kid.
    All the best 2 him.
I really don't think people realize how well he can catch, and I'm not just talking about plays like that.

But you're all forgetting, Denver had that 1-2 punch with Bubby Brister ready at the helm to take over at a moment's notice.

And the broncos were just overall better. They had multiple hall of famwrs on offense and defense. Thats not this team

And I love Najee Harris. We need him for 1400 rushing/ 600 receiving I hope he receives the OL help he will need.
Oh and play calling, his number needs called frequently.
