I think it is just the Dobbs fan club clutching at straws.

He's not a better pocket passer than Jackson. He is every bit as erratic, but far less of a threat as a runner.

You've got Babe Laufenberg syndrome. Laufenberg was a fringe player for Washington. He put up some big numbers in preseason games, so the fans there fell in love with him, but he really wasn't good. He ended up bouncing around the league for a while, but never amounted to anything.

A big showing in the fourth game of the preseason doesn't mean much. You need to stop writing Steelers' fan fiction based on fool's gold.

The entire league didn't give him a shot in 2019. Amazing, I know, in light of the fact that he had those couple good drives against Charlotte area UPS drivers and furniture movers.

Dobbs wasn't even on the team in 2019. Hodges finished the season as our starter with Rudolph as the back-up and Paxton Lynch the 3rd stringer. Dobbs was the 3rd string QB for Jacksonville who after seeing him in practice every day made damn sure he didn't take a snap for them all season.

So .....If we get our Wrs 2 just stand in one position, and not move . Dobbs is the best Qb on the field. LOL ;)
Wonder if our new OC can figure out a few plays for that.

Doesn’t speak much for the other QB’s if they can hit a stationary target how will they hit a moving target :lolol:

Dobbs was Landry Jones's replacement on the team for Ben's goto guy for helping him with the defense's during the game.

I think that will still be his role as the 3rd string QB this year.

Mason and Ben are never together on the sideline.

Thats not Dobbs but yes, I’ve seen them together on the sideline but that alone will not save Dobbs spot on the roster. He’ll need to outperform Haskins in preseason to stay here.

He was for one game. Apparently the loss to the Patriots was his fault so he was traded the next day.

I also love the fact that Mason said he is there to be the starting QB; not going to win him many points with Ben though.

"That's my goal, to be a starting quarterback in this league and for our team, and I'm working toward that goal every single day," Rudolph said Tuesday

Blast was kind to you. I will simply say that it would have been easier to take your opinion seriously if you actually knew the difference between Bruce Gradkowski and Josh Dobbs.

My bad, I guess Ben looked a little young in the picture, and I could swear that Dobbs wore #5

For the record I never stated that this was Dobbs, but in truth I did think it was #5 Dobbs.

It might at first seem non-intuitive, but it's easier throwing to a moving target because the target is moving and can adjust to the flight of the ball. If that garbage can was replaced by a receiver, everyone of those would have been caught.

Maybe I'm hallucinating, but it seems Ben is closer to those QB's he is not threated by or not worried about being challenged. Just an unprovable theory I have.

There's a big difference between what Dobbs and Gradkowski look like, I won't tell you what it is.

In fairness, Bruce is sporting a pretty good tan there. I’d kill for a fraction of that tan, Irish skin, I burn like a mf.
