I don't want to dog on the guy but his best days are behind him' he was clutching and grabbing in Seattle and it got worse in SF so if he played for the steelers the bast bet would be for him to be used as a situation player because he would be a penalty generating machine.

i just wonder if like woodson a move to safety would benefit him, or at least prolong his career. we have , right now over 9 mil. in cap space. we have a few yet to sign but there is some moves that could be made with some fringe players that will free up a little more cash. just depends on what he would play for on a year deal.

Not interested, he can't play man coverage, the Steelers usually don't sign free agents over the age of 30.

Might be a perfect fit for Mike Hilton's spot. For the right money I'm in. I have always admired Sherman's attitude. He talks sh!t, but he is no nonsense and all business. I like that.

I wondered myself if he would consider it. He's smart enough to pick it up quickly, and he has the size and attitude for the position. Then and only then at a number that makes sense for the Steelers. He's pretty much toast as a CB.

I’m not sure you can talk sh!t and be ‘no nonsense’ or ‘all business’. ‍♂️

Pittsburgh now employs man coverage more so than in years past. Richard Sherman's greatest years came as a Zone Cover Corner. Add his age and it is a hard sell. Hard pass for me.

We still do use Zone at around about a 48% rate, also it goes by who we are playing. Which I'm sure You know.
Watch How we play the Rat birds for instance.
Yes some man is mixed in, but rarely man across the board.
This is not advocating for Sherman in anyway....though I do believe for the right price, and him actually allowing us 2 move him around ...Could be good:shrug:

If the Steelers sign Sherman tonight Lolley will write an article stating what a smart move it was and that the Steelers are proving the haters wrong by trying to win in 2021.

    I'm sure.

Guys like Richard Sherman and Joey Porter, are of the same mold. These are guys that have such a strong will to compete... such a strong will to win, and to be better than their opponents, that it sometimes come out negatively. You don't want 1 or 2 guys with this attitude on your team, you want 50!

Some of you guys can't tell the difference between this type of player, and one that Tik Tok dances. But it is a very different demeanor.

Trying so hard not to respond to this because we will never see eye to eye on this topic but I failed.

So you’re saying that giving bulletin material is ok as long as you don’t Tik tok? Because that sounds like a bunch of double talk. JuJu was one of the few people who showed up for the Cleveland game. I’m not seeing the difference, talk the talk and back it up. Porter did and so did JuJu.

Veteran cornerback Richard Sherman has stated he'd be interested in potentially joining the Pittsburgh Steelers for next season.
Richard Sherman wants to join Steelers, but is it realistic? (msn.com)

Watt would need to be resigned to use his savings to bring Sherman in.

And, I think without Dupree the Steelers will use more Zone Blitzing schemes this year to take the pressure off TJ.

Sherman is a better #2 CB than anything we currently have on the roster.

I don’t think they will make any moves until see what they have presently. Maybe closer to the season they will bring in a vet if they feel it’s needed.

Fans who don't really watch football, and just want to sign a player because he's a big name, Sherman's former DC with the 49ers now HC with the Jets doesn't seem interested in signing him .

I will take my chances with Sutton as #2 CB over a washed up Sherman.

I agree. Like I said above, as a safety, I'd kick it around. But, I think Sherman's ego is way too big, and I think his asking price is potentially too high anyway. Besides, if Sherman has to say he's interested to prod the Steelers, it likely means they haven't been and won't be interested.
