So it’s basically the same as last year except Finny in for Pouncy and Banner in for AV. Yikes

Kendrick Green better start week 1 at C. Yes going off of 3 games I would rather him than Finny. I think Green was a solid pick

This is probably the offense on passing downs and it all comes down to how healthy and effective Ben is. For the offense to reach its fullest potential Green and Friermuth, and possibly Moore, better be ready to play early and often, if the Steelers want to have a more balanced offense. The key to a good offense is being able to run the ball to pick up first downs, and to run the ball to stay out of 2nd or 3rd and longs. If the run game is effective, Ben will be able to throw downfield on some running downs.

This looks much better for actually running the ball.

If he wins it, he will start......a 3rd round pick doesn't get it handed to him.

Remember though that Harris ran a lot out of shotgun, and a type of pistol in Alabama also.

Yeah, Ben will be in shotgun so take Watt out & rotate DJ & Ebrop.

If we can run the ball I’d be pretty happy

Dotson over Feiler is a change as well. Finney over hassenauer as well. More then one guy changed and positions played changes too. Chuks to the left. A good blocking TE. Maybe some use of our phantom FB too. We shall see.

Finney will start training camp as the starting center, but i think he will lose that role by the 3rd Preseason game.

    Chuks
    Dotson
    Finney
    Decastro
    Banner

Would be considered one of the worst OL groups in the NFL. If Green can start, be good and replace Finney that would certainly help.

Finney was a decent backup player for us 2 years ago but was terrible since leaving and starting. Decastro is dropping like a rock and is a year older. Both of those tackles are average at best below average most likely. Truth hurts boys.

Just a thought, but Harris should be an upgrade.

Finney isn’t better than pounce in his prime, but is he worse than Pouncy last year?

    Ditto, Banner/AV?

So we should be a bit better just because of Harris. And last years lineup started 11-0. Although, there were some iffy/ugly wins.

this - they have to scale Ben back in the gameplan. it is not all up to him to throw the rock around. i am hopeful that new coaches (OL and OC) + Friermuth + Harris - will all help make a difference. By the middle of the season last year, is was PAINFUL to watch the 2 second, 3 yard pop passes, ad nauseum. FICHTNER flat out SUCKED. probably not even capable of HS coaching. he sucked. and Tomlin sucks as usual, for keeping lousing coaches around too long. (OC and OL)

AFCN is toughest DIV in the league - our work is cut out for us....

    this

he has to take the job.

Pouncey had lost 2 steps - was time to go. and DDecastro too seems to be fading FAST.
