Except at C, most of the top rated Centers are about 305-315

JMO for his height the arm length is not that short, and if he has quicks him being short will be a benefit with natural Leverage.
Kinda like J .Harrison did oppositely.

I just had this thought on your comment. I felt this would be a transition year, but if indeed this happens I think Anthony Mcfarland may benefit greatly. Just a feeling.

    No Dickerson, Creed, Myers, Green

For me....Harris and Muth are no brainers... top guys in the draft.... Im not worried about them at all.

Day 3 is day 3... if you get a few solid backups and ST players out of it.. great

But for this draft...Green is the money shot. If he becomes the starter this year... and holds the spot for a decade..... this will be graded as one of the best drafts in recent memory.

If he struggles early and falls into that top back up spot for all 3 interior spots for his career.... then this probably means the draft is a C

Everyone's highlight reels look good. On 3 of the 4 run plays, he helped another guy who was already engaged.

SteelersDepot's breakdown highlights the good and bad, the latter of which includes ending up on the ground a lot and getting bullied if a long-armed player gets into his chest.

Hmmm....Linsley might be a good optimistic comp. Only 32" arms.

I have to agree with the analysts on this. Dickerson has the potential to be one of the best centers in the league, continuing a tradition of Steelers having great centers. Him and Creed were plug and play. But for some reason Tomlin and Colbert like their projects. It's not like we have Munch around anymore to bring out the best potential in underwhelming players.

They better be right with this pick. He'd better start center on day 1.

Frankly, if he and Moore don't start day 1, then it wouldn't have mattered if we drafted the love child of Barry Sanders and Walter Payton. We'll be last in rushing for two years in a row. Hey, at least we're consistent. The standard is the standard.

Who says this guys a project? He plays guard and center, they already said he will be in the mix right away.

He's played center for like 3 games if I'm not mistaken. That's what I consider a project. I really don't think he starts.

Everyone needs to remember Chuks was everyone's favorite 2018 3rd round we got our LT for the future player

Now because he got to play one season he sucks

And Dan Moore is everyone's favorite 2021 4th round we got our LT for the future player

I’ve looked at this guy, he’s not a project, project to me means 2-3 years before starting. Green will be starting before the end of this season and getting playing time almost immediately.

If people really want BJ Finney to start then the Steelers forgoing such a route is essentially circa Cody Wallace in 2015 all over again; more so a disaster now then way back when. This is it for Big Ben. Have Kendrick Green challenge BJ Finney for that spot.

Should Green emerge the winner before the start of the Season, nevermind our Rushing Attack but also Big Ben's overall protection will be better than it was in 2020.

Except for the fact that Dan Moore Jr is entering different circumstances. Dan Moore is not a project per both Adrian Klemm and Mike Tomlin. Dan Moore Jr is likely to challenge Chuks for the starting role. Should Chuks lose out to Moore Jr then that will be on him.

Here is Kendrick Greens mockdraftable spidersheet spread:

    https://www.mockdraftable.com/player/kendrick-green?position=OC

    Compare that to Creed Humphrey:

    https://www.mockdraftable.com/player/creed-humphrey

Outside of height, Kendrick Green destroys him in almost every category. Pittsburgh has historically relied on Centers who were not just athletic but carried a nasty streak to boot. For that matter, much like the Head Coaches, dating back to the AFL-NFL Merger, Pittsburgh has only had five Centers throughout that time span. No other franchise comes even close.

I think the Steelers have an idea on how to acquire great Center Talent at the very least; Maurkice Pouncey being the most recent example here.
