I'll update this throughout the draft and up through training camp. This is where I see the Steeler position groups compared to 2020. I've got five position groups worse than last year, one better, the rest appear for now to be a wash. RB went from worse to better with one player, other positions may take more. TE could flip with one guy. Same with OT and C.

Same: QB, WR, DL, ILB, S, TE
    Better: G, RB
    Worse: OT, C, EDGE, CB

Generously upgraded TE to same. PF won't contribute much as a rook, but probably as much as Vance did last year.

I like the pick long term, though.

p.s. I hope I didn't spoil the pick for everyone watching the draft on smoke signals.

Someone is having a conversation with himself. Allegedly this will continue through training camp.

I'll take that as agreement with my analysis. Welcome aboard.

I'll disagree on your TE assessment. I believe PF will be integral to the offense this year- much more than just a blocking TE.

If Aaron Rogers had this team drafting for him, he'd want to play until he's 50.

I like the PF pick long term, but historically TEs have a very difficult time adjusting to the NFL game in their rookie seasons.

I like pics 2 & 3. Harris will be good, but OT could have been had for the long haul. Harris won't get a 2nd contract. How many big time RB's stay with the same team these days besides Zeke and Titans RB?

Didn't change on Day 3. Brutal day at the draft for the Steelers.

I would say G is better this season with Dotson entering his second season as the full time starter. Dotson will be an upgrade over Feiler

And, if Decastro can comeback healthy next year, huge boost.

WR, better. Claypool and Johnson should both be better with an increase of play time.

JuJu coming back was just icing on the cake.

Claypool will take it to the next level and be the true #1 that JuJu needs.

Or is this strickly about the draft?

I would say our 1st 3 picks are better than who played last year.

    Rb Better
TE better #2 than last year. Keep Ebron around for another year as the new kid learns the playbook.
    C. Better Pouncey was done a few years ago, and should have left with Foster.

Without watching Rich Eisen, I presume he says the Browns, Ravens, and Bengals all had a better draft, better off season, better cheerleaders, better stadium, and better team colors. Not being persuaded, I expect another AFC North crown.

It's about the entire offseason. We have no idea how Green will do at center, he only started 4 games there in college and he's undersized.
