With Harris on the way is Snell #2 #3 fighting for a spot? Also I think Harris is a franchise back. If we drafted this guy just to half ass use him I won't be happy. I am optimistic we rely heavily on the running game this year.

Trade him to Arizona so he can join Connor, both worthless anyway.

My guess is he'll be the primary backup. Samuels is most likely the odd man out

    RB Depth Chart IMO

    1 - Harris
    2 - Snell
    3 - McFarland

    Watt is the FB.

They keep a RB on the practice squad. Samuels is probably out.

Should of made/make Samuels a slot WR .He has nice hands , size and enough speed. But he`s odd man out in the RB room.

Let him run the wildcat. They won’t expect it.

    The biggest problem here is,

    Benny Snell F'ing sucks.

I wanted the Steelers to draft him. I was excited when they did. He has been a major letdown.

Harris is your clear starter. I am hoping McFarland takes a big step forward and can be the change of pace guy.

As for Snell and Samuels, I think the Steelers may need to draft another back for depth. Thats how bad those guys are.

You're forgetting about Ballage. I think Ballage makes the roster and either Snell or Samuels are cut. Samuels brings more to the table than Snell does IMO. Snell could be the odd man out.

I would have experimented with Samuels as a hybrid H-Back/FB/TE as soon as he got to Pittsburgh.

That is why they also signed ballage, someone with NFL experience to potentially push these guys

We complain about the line and how no one can run behind it but then kill Snell for not doing more.

Totally disagree, for the opportunities he has gotten and running behind this line, I think he has done a decent job.

Don’t know what happens with Ballage on the team, if he and Snell compete in camp or if they just release Ballage as he may have just been insurance in case they didn’t get a RB in the draft.

McFarland will have a big roll in Canadas system, I think Samuels is out.

Hopefully this means the end of Samuels as a Steeler.

if I were to guess I wld say they keep Samuels only because he knows the offense better, thats why I think its a steep climb for Ballage, I mean we already have our plodding rb in Snell, do we need another? thats why I say keep options more open w Samuels= Harris, Snell, Macfarland, Samuels

Snell better bring his A game come preseason is what i think, Ballage was brought in for a reason. Samuels isn't any better but more versatile.

Ballage is probably the odd man out. They like Samuels....he does whatever is asked of him and never b!tches. Snell runs hard, but he's slow. Having said that, they'll keep him. McFarland is still a project. He has some upside. Things could change for him for the better after he gets a full training camp and pre season in.

Harris is going to be the #1, 2, and 3!

    Snell won’t see many snaps...

Snell is a good back up punch. Keep him while you can.

Hopefully fighting for a spot somewhere other then in Pittsburgh. If it comes down to Samuels or Snell I'll be rooting for Samuels as the lesser of the two evils.

i was wildly hoping they would take sermon out of ohio state instead of green ol just for insurance purposes and roll with the o-line we already have and pick up a few cut vetetan players for backup.
