I still do not understand as to how that critique came up with him to begin with?! Where did that even come from?! Among all LB's in terms of Pass Coverage... he is by far and away the best in the class.

They might find a LT in the draft to challenge Chuks.

So trade up. Or something. We needed an OT, CB, and RB in the first round this year and a C, LB, and TE in the second round. Oh, and there's an aging DLine and the whole no franchise QB thing. This is a rebuild. I don't care if people want to deny it. It'll take this draft, a FA period next year with actual money to spend, and another draft, to get this right.

Rashod Bateman actually went where I thought he would. Lamar gets his big bodied receiver who can not only catch but also contest the catch point. Impressive indeed.

I don't hate the pick. I just think our D needs help in big way, in more than one position.
We could probably got a great back in 2nd

Kevin Colbert said it was highly doubtful though.... at least in the first round. Did not mention others I believe. Hopefully the team does that in Day 2.

    Nor do I.

I am with you on defensive help though. How many more top performances does Joe Haden have remaining?! That is the question here. Besides, Cameron Sutton cannot do it alone and I do not think it is wise to entrust James Pierre based off fewer than 40 snaps; playoffs or otherwise.

I give our draft a B- as he's a good RB but i think we missed out on OT

I see CBS has a C grade with the selection

Essentially what I said dating back to January.

Even by elite Running Back standards, Najee's instincts and Football IQ are insane.

Shame we didn't have 4 first round picks. That would have been better. :D

You draft players not positions, guys. RBs are not fungible. Do you think if we re-drafted the 2013 draft that Le'Veon would make it out of the first round? Hell no. Normally I hate drafting receivers or running backs in the first but he was pretty clearly the best player available and O-line is deep.

I can’t be mad at the pick. It’s my personal preference not to use a 1st rd pick on a RB but I have no doubt he’ll be a stud. Guy can play and we needed one.

I wonder if they’d have taken him if Darrisaw lasted one more pick.
