Vikings are on the clock, not the Packers. I made the first Browns pick, then they have another pick after the Vikings pick.

Sorry. Just looked at the list on Pg 1, saw the Browns, and made the choice.

The Minnesota Vikings select Richie Grant, S, Central Florida.

I'll let you make the next Browns pick, then the packers will select Dylan Moses.

Richie Grant is gone. I took him to the Jets just before the Steelers pick

Hope for a better day 2 and 3. Give the Steelers a C- for Harris with so many other players on the board.

Still need C, T, TE or the run game won't markedly improve.

I disagree. The O-line will be better than last year by having Dotson instead of Feiler, Banner back, and if they get a plug and play center in the draft. Last year the Steelers ran the ball fairly well early in the season and that was before Wisniewski was hurt. The depth in the O-line in this draft is deeper than the RB position. I would rather have Harris and the current o-line , plus adding a center or OT in the second or third round, than a OT at 1.24 with Snell or McFarland.

Banner played a handful of snaps before his knee buckled. He's completely unproven as a starter.

There also were plenty of RBs to be had after round 1, and guys Tomlin wouldn't be compelled to run into the ground by week 12. Believe me, you're going to see plenty of Snell is history is your guide.

How many snaps is a handful -20? He actually played 59 and the running was fine the first game. More facts, DeCastro was injured and Wisniewski started in his place. The running game failed as the season wore on because of play calling, schemes, and running back inconsistencies, as much as, the O-line play. Dotson and a healthy Banner will help the run game. An effective run game keeps the defense off the field. Football 101. Harris helps with RPO and play action.

    Ben doesn't run play-action.

59 snaps for a lineman on his 4th team in 4 years is a red flag, sorry. Youi're whistling past the graveyard on this one.

And that is a big part of the offense's problem.

You are correct. A Effective run game keeps the D off the field, but with a terrible backfield on the D it doesn't matter, as we have seen last time our O was quite good at running.
I watch us run the clock down for a win , only 2 watch the opposition score in like 42 secs, 52 secs, 74 secs, and 38 second . So...

I agree, but the crappy inconsistent offense the last six weeks of the season was just as bad to watch. If the Steelers don't improve their offense, we would be seeing the same thing as last year, except for the 11-0 start. I still do not trust the Steelers evaluations of cornerbacks, but they have improved with Sutton and recognizing a Hilton as UDFA. Layne was still a ? and his off the field actions make him a bigger ? . I know Layne supports your argument for a CB, but I like someone like Robert Rochell as a possible 4th round pick.

I also like Rochell, but I believe he is a project. JMO.
    I pray I'm wrong.

I would agree Rochell is a project, but any CB drafted past the second round is a project, and some drafted in the 1st round are projects. What I have liked the past two years without the combine is the Steelers are being forced to look at more tape than measurables. They found football players in Highsmith and Dotson. So hopefully they can find a CB the same way they found those two guys.
