I think as young men most of us made some dumb decisions, but with that said I did a ton of **** I didnt get caught for cause i was smart enough not to put myself in super bad positions. This guy was begging to be arrested. He was just givving the cops multiple reasons to bring him in. Plain Stupid!.... Probably ends his Steeler tenure

He was a lesser project guy than Brian Allen wasn't he? But still a guy who need some serious work to be pro level ready.

Not sure how much they were counting on Layne after Pierre passed him on the depth chart last year. Don’t think it changes their draft plans much if at all.

Report said gun was in the center console.... If you have a gun in your car it must be visible ( open carry ) or if it is concealed ( not visible ) it must be out of the reach of the driver( say in the trunk )...

If it is concealed ( not visible ) driver must have a CCW or CCpistol permit AND must notify officer he hasa permit And is carrying and then Wait for instructions from the officer.

Apparently he handed the officer his license ( which was suspended )and told him to get to the process , this after telling the officer he was in a hurry ( excess of 80 ) mph) to get to the crib!!!!!

I hope we cut/release him...... so far he’s been a bust and now we know why, not very intelligent !!!!!!

Man, I really miss Mike Hilton Now!!!!!!

3rd round pick though. This year was still a pit up or shut up year for him.

I was thinking the same thing. Although in this case I think I saw an interview with Layne’s parents and they seemed like good intelligent honest people.

The difference between Layne doing something dumb at a young age and any of us doing something dumb at a young age is that Layne has a golden ticket.

Which he pretty much just wiped his ass with and flushed down the toilet.

I just know that I'm not dumb enough to drive on a suspended license at 3 am speeding while high and with a gun in the vehicle. If that makes me perfect then thank you. I appreciate the gratitude.

before the Steelers drafted him, Layne's parents were Browns fans.

I don't think they will cut him, they already lost Hilton, and Nelson this offseason. Layne was likely to be the their 4th CB, they needed to draft a CB anyway, so I don't think this incident changes their plans.

One person isn't making the decision to draft these CBs, the scouts and Colbert are involved too.
