Can't say I really see anything in that video. I don't really see the kick TMZ is talking about. Not saying it didn't happen, just I can't tell much from that video.
How will the NFL/Team deal with it? Hard to say. I'm sure lots of players have gotten in a brawl before and the league was none the wiser. But since everyone has a cell phone these days, it was bound to be recorded. I don't really see anything there worth punishing, honestly. I think a statement should suffice.

Well Coach Popcorn the disciplinarian will nip this in the bud savvy :lolol:

He wasn't the instigator. Just jumping in to help one of his friends. Would you stand there all the while your buddy is getting hit? I wouldn't and have been in a situation like it.

    Guess he can now punt?

Yea it's a bad look but what can you do. I don't have an issue with him being a stand up friend.

They say you are who you hang out with. I don't see anything worth a hoot but the simple fact that he put himself in a position to get hurt or jeopardize his career defies all intellectual logic. He is literally risking millions of dollars when involved in these types of incidents as a thug will take special pride and bringing down an NFL player. Can't fix stupid sometimes.

a bar fight. no guns no knives no clubs just a fight. I guess I'm old enough to remember this not even being news. If I'm a NFL starter with millions on the line I'm probably going to think twice about entering this fracas. It wasn't much of a fight and should be no big deal. We'll see

There is video, therefore it is news. That is the big difference from 20 years ago. Everybody has a video camera built into their phones. This would have been a hell of a lot easier to dismiss if there wasn't video of the incident.

Ray Rice is the perfect example, though to be clear, I'm not comparing the actions in those two situations. What Rice did was reprehensible, far worse than getting into a scuffle at a bar. My point about Rice is the NFL seemed content to sweep the whole thing under the rug until the video was made public. At that point, they couldn't ignore it, and Rice's career was over.

I'm sure many among us were in similar situations at his age. However, none of us were risking losing a multi million dollar career. I would expect the organization to sit him down, get his side of the story and strongly recommend that in the future he avoid these types of issues by exercising better judgement. I have no confidence that will happen, so I hope Claypool is mature enough to come that conclusion on his own.

If you’re going to take a 15 yard Personal Foul penalty it might as well be worth it.

Not that we see all from tv, but I totally expected him to get thrown out of a game for fighting.
He seems very on edge while on the field.

I can’t find the kick? All I see is him breaking up a fight.

He needs to stay out of those scrums, defending a friend or not, plenty of other people in his group to do that. I’m glad his friends had the presence of mind to get him away from it.
