Ok, so you're going to have to spend the next unknown years underground due to... reasons. Might be 5. Might be for the rest of your life. No way of knowing. You can bring a musical artist's or band's entire catalog with you (any and all recordings). But only 5. Who are you bringing?

Mine (with no small amount of agonizing):

    Jimmy Buffett
    Johnny Cash
    Van Morrison
    Queen
    Billy Joel

I really agonized over the Stones, Marley, GNR, Zeppelin, etc. In the end, I went with what I'd consider catalogs with depth (enough variation within that particular catalog so as all the songs don't start to blend together). That, and high number of favorite songs helped.

I also agonized over Stones, Zep, Cash, Hank Sr., Rush , Doobie Brothers, Allman Bros.,Faith No More, and Steely Dan.
    Hell 2 many 2 name.
I honestly think the Doobie Brothers were the hardest 2 leave off.

Forgot about Tull - possibly best concert I ever saw back in late 90's. Saw him a few years ago with all new band and not nearly as impressive. Great albums though.:thumbs up:

Early 90s country. Surely you've heard "Boot Scootin' Boogie". Not near their best but, probably, their most popular....

Yes I have. Many times. I didn't know that's who it was.
I really dont get into newer Country, nearly as much as I do the late 80s, and back earlier sound.
The newer stuff sounds IMO, like rehashed Pop music.

The new stuff IS just twangy Pop music.

But 90s was still mostly good country. Once Keith Urban and Rascal Flats came up, it all went to hell.

First off I'm bringing books over everything else. A TV and fridge packed with beer would be nice too:)

David Bowie's Ziggy album. Only one I'd bring from his collection.
    Aerosmith
    Zepplin
    Queen
Some rap music just to annoy the cancel culture.

I think that Boy George is missing a marketing opportunity here. Change the band name to Cancel Culture club. Change his to Boycott George. He could redo their songs, rename them something like, “Do you really want to protest me” and “Boycott Chameleon”!

Darn it I am wrong 90% of the time when I try to guess people's age by their post. Bright side for me, people mostly think I'm a lot younger then I am.

These are terrible decisions to make.

The Clash- Sandinista it’s not their best, but it’s a triple record so there’s a lot to listen to.

    RS- Exile

damn, will have to add three later

Forgot all about Exile On Main Street. IMO best RS album ever. I saw them in Pittsburgh when I was a young man and I always remember they had mirrors all over the place. Years later I saw them at the Vet in Philly. I thought Keith Richards was falling asleep:)

Tough choice, but I'd probably go with:
    • The Beatles
    • Van Halen
    • Pink Floyd
    • radiohead
    • Megadeth

I'm going to use the rules to my advantage. By going with an artist's full catalog I can get more albums.

John Lennon would include all Beatles albums along with his solo.

    Clapton

    Roger Waters

Paul Simon (would include S&G along worth solo.)

    Pete Townsend
