Right! If we got Stafford, or Rodgers, or Watson...It would again have to be a trade

I don't know about that. He seems petty enough to spurn them after they drafted Alex Smith instead of him.

This really could be an unprecedented year for QB’s on the move.

That's a lot of QBs for the Steelers to acquire. Gonna have to cut out a few position groups to make room on the roster.

Nice! We'll have different QBs for each quarter.

So you're saying that because Charlie Batch, Byron Leftwich, and Tommy Maddox didn't win the Superbowl it's pointless to sign a free agent QB? Because as far as I can remember those are the only 3 free agent quarterbacks that ever started for us.

That's what I'd do playing Madden. Just turn the salary cap off.

Rodgers will end up on the Saints or 49ers.... a competitive team right out of the box. Like Brady, Rodgers can pretty much choose where he wants to go and he sure as hell will not want to play in Pittsburgh.

And Rodgers hated him so what difference does that make? But I get what you're saying Pittsburgh link via association.

Just need to pad the roster with a bunch of undrafted right out of college kids.

Agreed. Why the hell would he want to go to the AFC? If the goal is to get to the SB than the better bet is to stay in the NFC where the teams aren't as good especially at the QB position. The AFC has Lamar, Baker, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Tua, and soon Lawrence, etc. OK, the last ones are just young guys starting but they're players on the up. Meanwhile the NFC is comparatively just a mess QB wise.

I just do not see the Saint's having the Cap room, they are in worse shape than us. Sure anything can get done, but like us they would have to gut the team.

As I recall it was written in his (traded) contract that he could void that contract if he ran for 1200 yards, which he did. The WFT showed great interest and remember reading a report that The Bus talked to Cowher and said something like...coach they are making it hard to stay Cowher asked him for 24 hours, and the rest is history.

Epic as in bank breaking. Bettis and Greene were not big name players at the time.
