He should have either dove on that fumble or kicked it out of the endzone. Guy can't even do a QB sneak. I watch pretty much every other QB in the league run the QB sneak yet he's to important to bother with it.

If he doesn't retire we should cut him ..He is done and the longer he stays the harder it will be to get the running game going again..A new OC and a new DC is a must ..Get Mason a good RB throw that zone blocking crap in the trash and go Power and use PA I don't enjoy watching this soft Dink and dunk crap..

He's clearly done, a few flashes here and there notwithstanding. Can't play under center, can't move, can't throw downfield.

Thanks for bringing pride and SB's back to the Steelers Ben, now don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

What I think will happen is Tomlin and Ben both are back in 2021 and it won't be pretty.

He's beyond soft. He could have even kicked the ball through the end zone and just given up 2 points.

He's so delicate that he won't even bend down to pick up the ball or even fall on it.

I don't know how any player in that locker room can even look him in the eyes after that pathetic play

I’m sad to agree he is done. I think he played sufficiently well through the first half of the season but his age really showed over the last 6-7 games. The only way I’d bring him back is if he’s willing to take a significant pay cut. I would not let young players go in order to pay him.

What’s his cap hit if he retires?

Ben's knee is so bad he can hardly move. He can barely bend it enough to take a snap under center. QB sneak is not an option right now.

Ben is playing through a lot of pain. It is affecting everything he does. He is a lot of things, but soft aint one of them.

Well then if he’s gonna B. S. he’ll have to suck it up and take the criticism.

I think we are lucky he played as long as he did. When he was young and taking lots of hits, and that massive concussion from the motorcycle crash, I never imagined he would have a 17 year career.

We got a couple Lombardi`s out of him and a long stretch of contention. We should just be grateful and try to remember the good times. Now we have to search for another franchise QB and suffering is likely.

I don't think Ben is soft; he is just done. All those hits and injuries have taken their toll.

Ben may have lost the Eye of the Tiger, but he isn't soft.

    Our Offensive Line is soft.

He's soft. He didn't want any contact. Cam2.0 actually worse, Cam can still run the ball. The game flips on that one play and your old fat qb wont dive on the ball. He was the first one there !

You did see that Conner was right on top of the ball.

The only thing he would have done was got in Conner's way. How Conner did not recover the ball is anyone's guess.

    Me either.

You don’t even have to watch film in detail to see his game changed after Dallas and we know for a fact he sustained an injury in that game.

He tried to go TO the ball, not FOR it.

Ben has always been tough. But no amount of strength or Toughness can will you to make your body do things it can't or cant do the same anymore again.

Bob Labriola was on the radio today....

He said Ben's knees most likely can't handle bending to be under center anymore.

Case in point he wasn't too nimble trying to get that ball. A younger Ben would have been able to dive on that ball.

That’s fine and all, but if you can’t do the things necessary for your team then you need to get on down the road. For everything great Ben does it’s nullified by something that he can’t do anymore that hurts the team. Enough‘s enough already. I love big van and what he’s done for the Steelers, but there comes a point in time where you’ve used up all of your benefit of the doubt.
