Plus 47 rushing yards and a score.

So please, no, Finely did not play great. Really, that stat line just pisses me off more that they lost.

Now compare that to Ben's stat line and suddenly it looks a lot better

I believe through the first quarter Ben's was something like:

    5/7 for -10 yards, 1 INT

They won the turnover battle 3-0, and rushed for about 140 yards.

Finley did just enough. The Colts and Browns are going to each run for over 200 yards the next two weeks. The linebacking corps has simply been devastated by injuries and COVID. Allen is horrible. Highsmith is lost. Williamson was good last week, but stunk it up tonight. It is far too easy for teams to throw two or three guys at Watt every play and just abuse the other three guys.

20/38 170 1 TD so no, Bens doesn’t look worse. He sucked but Finley’s must be the worst stat line I’ve ever seen for a winning QB.

Taylor just getting hot at the right time, too.

Don’t even want to think about Chubbs/Hunt.

Remember that game against the Titans with Tommy Maddox at QB where the Steelers outgained the Texans like 450 yards to 75 and still LOST the game?

The Steelers seem to have a knack for losing the game to an opposing QB having a putrid stat line.

    Chubb/Hunt?!

What about Johnathan Taylor/Nyheim Hymies?! Those two are as about "Thunder 'n' Lightning" as one can get.

Cut him some slack Blast, he was playing against the greatest D of all times, and he ran right by them gfor the clinching TD.

Reminds me of a bumper sticker I once saw: I may be slow but I'm ahead of you.

Dang a game where we played both the Titans and the Texans? No wonder we lost.

Gripe all you want, but guess which QB had highest Rating? Hint: he wasn't wearing #7.

Finley was crap, but we has better QB on the turf tonight.

The kid had some clutch runs with no answer from the Steelers(except Minkah's last stop) and he didn't throw any picks. That was the difference.

It is worse if you look at all of the statistics for the two quarterbacks. Roethlisberger averaged 4.47 yards per attempt with an interception and a fumble. Finley did not turn the ball over.

I’m not making an argument that Ben played well.

My point is Finley sucked something awful and they still managed to win the game.

Steelers fans like to embellish the play of 2nd and 3rd string QB’s as the reason the Steelers lose these games when the truth is closer to the Steelers beating themselves.

I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I think Ben threw one nice ball, the TD to DJ.

We have zero running game, zero tight end game and BB strugglin. I still like our chances until KC.

Snell ran 18 times for 84 yards tonight. This was not a failure of the running game.
