Zach was brought in again for a workout. A center out of texas. 6-3. 303. Can move some but is said to be extremely strong. Very smart too. I was surprised we didn't bring in another center earlier, but better late than never if they do sign him. He was also a team captain and an all American as a freshman. 40 starts and 43 games played at Texas. Was on the bucs ps for awhile.

As long as he and JC can slam into guys and move forward, then he should do good. When they start looking to dbl team, identify the 2nd level block and move is when the problems start

We needed that extra center. If if has to play guard for any extended period with the Dotson injury, he could be needed. He would be available for the Colts in a pinch. Best case browns game. I'm really surprised Derwin Gray hasn't got the try at guard over jc. He's a much bigger body. JC is only 6-2 295, Gray is 6-4 320. Between pouncey and jc that's a pretty light interior by NFL standards.

What’s kept him from catching on elsewhere?

Pouncey has never really been good at power run blocking. Not his style.

I'm really thinking he's got some lingering issues with his foot or ankle from earlier in the season.

He has had a myriad of injuries. He is a top rope center but father time is catching up. The offensive line needs a makeover.

As far as Shackelford a body is a body.

I feel that Sarrett needs to be shown the gate after the season.

Reality is this team has a ton of issues going into next season as far as roster starting with the QB position, then offensive line. Although I feel that they have some pieces to work with, Banner, Dotson, Okorafor.

So we march on to see what the rest of this season will bring. Hope for the best...
