to me it seems he makes the difficult catches and drops the easy ones. en ebron has a history of bad hands

I think he'll get it fixed. Sometimes these things get in their head and it takes a bit to work it out. Let's just hope this isn't a Limas Sweed situation.

What’s crazy is that he leaves defenders in the dust. Basically mini AB without the hands lol

I don’t think anybody in the entire league gets open the way he can. If he sorts it out he will be very very good.

He is always going to drop a few over the course of the season but he is going through a particularly bad patch at the moment, he will hopefully overcome it.

Just a theory, but all these drops seemed to have started once the weather started turning a little cooler. All those WR's & TE's need to get some more practice with some rock solid frozen balls in sub zero temps.

AB was known to drop a few, but DJ takes it to another level.

I think his hands have changed since the weather has gotten cold.

I don't know if he has changed gloves, because of the cold weather or if he just has a problem in cold weather.

If he can stop the drops, stop the fumbles, he has all the tools.

Speed, Route Running, YAC he can do it.

I think he has the talent, he just needs to make the plays.

Check out the change in gloves. The yellow gloves are from the bills game. The yellow gloves look heavier; more for winter.

I've seen some comparisons to Devante Adams, who had the same issue with drops early on. Similar measurable, quickness and elusiveness.

Looks like it worked out for him by year 3.

Adams is a bigger, stronger receiver. He's 6-foot-1, 215 pounds. Johnson is 5-10, 185. Those are not similar measurables.

When you throw the ball within 2secs of the snap, how much of a route can you run? How open can you be? Even if you're Jerry Rice. If you're not open and the ball is coming and youre trying to figure out how you're going to turn a 2yd pass into a FD on 3rd and 6, this seems like a recipe for drops.

Not to excuse WRs, but the passing strategy right now doesn't help.

Mr Johnson has a pronounced tendency to take his eye off the ball and turn up field to soon.

I don't remember him getting nailed over the middle recently, but he's acting like a guy afraid of running into a blindside

Bingo, his main issue is taking his eyes off the ball. He's playing way too skittish.

Is this more recent? Did he drop a lot in college? I really do not know, I do agree with you as you can see his eyes turn before securing the ball. If it was just the quick patterns it might be more explainable, but I recall some drops with deeper patterns as well. Coaching can help, but at times this becomes as much mental as technique. He knows what he is supposed to do, but his mind reacts differently. Timing, technique, awareness...putting it all together at the pro level. A lot of players actually experience a sophomore slump, they exceed expectations as a rookie, then a reality hits the 2nd year. Definitely has the talent to be a top tier receiver, he just has to put it all together

he looked better in the 2nd half along with the weather. if it kept snowing, we could have won ;)
they all should get more practice playing in the snow.

The Drop says it doesn't matter what you think because when the Drop lowers the people's elbow on your ruddy poo candy ass it will be over. If you smell what the Drop is cooking.

They need to throwing to him on the first play of the game, it kills the team when Johnson and Ebron drop passes on third downs .

The only cure for the drops is a benching and lots of time in the film room to see what the problemis. Till he sees it himself , he will not accept it.
