So I’m wondering why Claypool wasn’t in the game in 4th quarter? He certainly wasn’t in on drive after Bills FG to make it 11 and I don’t remember him in at a all the whole 4th. Am I wrong?

I'm with you. Never saw him the 4th qtr. Let's hope he's not injured.

Mystery, they don’t even do jet sweeps with him anymore.

I was wondering the same thing. I think I saw Claypool on the 2 point convert but I think they split Samuels out wide for some reason the rest of the quarter.

Saw that too, you would think that Claypool or Ray Ray would be better then Samuel split out wide. Just don't see the logic, but a lot of things this OC does not make sense.

He only had 3 snaps in the 2nd half, which sounds bad, but the team only had 19 total. Ouch.

Tomlin said today that they are limiting his snaps a bit, so he doesn't hit the rookie wall. I understand the thought, but our offense has been total balls lately and we still need to win some games, so maybe he should be more involved.

Same with Matt Canada's lack of influence in the Offense. Something is amiss here. Two plus two is not equaling four and there are questions that have to be answered before long.

Glad we weren't worried about some rookie wall when Ben got here. WTF kind of garbage is he spewing? Play your best players if they are able and get the win. Is he waiting to get a couple more L's and then decide Chase needs more snaps? Help me understand the logic. This is like the Oakland game with Ben able to play and he is on the sideline for some reason a few years back.

It's not like he's an Edge, or OL playing every snap...He gets a lot of snaps off...To start with smh, Freakin Tomlin!

Great points I didn’t even think of. It really is a head scratcher. Rookie wall? Really? That’s what he’s going with? We were down 11 in the 4th w the ball and that’s when he limits his snaps? I’m no scientist... but that makes zero sense

I was wondering why TJ Watt was standing on the sideline during the Bills final TD drive. Buffalo just drove right down the field with no pressure on the QB.

When you believe in something, you have to believe it 100%.

    1. The D is overachieving given the injuries, the O is flailing despite a lot of talent.......why?
    2. I think it all tracks back to Fitchner. The whole world knows of his ineptitude yet the Steelers act like they don't see it.
    3. We are in danger of failing again because Tomlin let's everyone be what they want to be.
    4. How can Matt Canada's influence be squelched but Fitchner's glaring weaknesses be ignored?
    5. If Ben is pulling the latest AB circus, and it's affecting our chances, and it goes so deep that the coaching staff is under-performing, someone needs to *****-slap him.

Not to mention that if we win that game we have a 55% chance of #1 seed; if we lose, it drops to 5%. That timing was season changing critical!

My guess.... Ben hates all that stuff and they’ve taken it out of the playbook to keep him happy. He doesn’t like being under center or using play action either and I think we all know he has a great deal of control over this offence.

By the 4th qtr Ben's arm is so fatigued he can't throw more then 8 yds so no sense having your deep threat on the field when there is no deep threat.

The rookie wall is a BS excuse.

It's not like Watt was applying pressure on Josh Allen anyway.

Wait, so to help him avoid hitting that “rookie wall” with less production we’re going to keep him from producing?

He throws more than 8 yards before the 4th quarter?

What happens when he hits the rookie wall? Explode on impact?

Let him play, their 2 game losing streak coincides with Claypool diminished playing time. I’m sure that’s not the only factor but definitely a contributing one.

19 offensive snaps ain't many, but 3 for Claypool , when you are trailing the whole time, seems small. Surely he could have got 6 or 10 snaps, without hitting the rookie wall.

But what's your objective? Win the game, get the #1 seed. Or save Claypool for later? The 2nd one doesn't do much for me. When Claypool falls off the table, deal with it then. Don't anticipate it.
