Most likely if the Steelers are gonna be the 1 seed and get the bye week and “homefield advantage” for whatever that might be worth at this point and time. If the Chiefs win out and the Steelers let’s say lose in Buffalo like so many keep predicting and then they both finish 15-1 the Chiefs would win the tiebreaker based on common opponents seeing that they beat the Bills and the Steelers didn’t. You just can’t count on going 16-0 and winning every game if you’re the Steelers.

Not saying it can’t happen but it’s just asking way too much. The Chiefs toughest games left are at Miami and at New Orleans. They aren’t gonna lose at home to Denver, Atlanta, or The Chargers. You need them to drop one of those road games and finish 14-2 because finishing in a 15-1 tie with them most likely is not gonna be good enough to be the top overall seed.

Herbert played cool in his first game against the Chiefs and with Ekeler back as well I would not toss the Chargers in the loss column so quickly.

No loose no more games. Even if we have to throw it 75 times and run it twice.

I would they aren’t beating the Chiefs at Arrowhead that final week its just not happening. The Chargers even if they play the Chiefs close that last week are the Kings of how to blow or lose a close game in the final minutes. Asking them to beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead with a potential 1 seed and bye week on the line is asking a ton and it more then likely won’t happen.

I know its a very very tall order but also Bengals have taken that King's crown you are referring to.

I'm pretty skeptical about the Steelers chances for getting the 1 seed. We are not playing well right now. If we don't get some semblance of a run game going we are going to lose a couple games.

The best chance would probably be in New Orleans December 20th. Hopefully Brees is back by then. Miami has a slim chance with Tua possibly but I don’t like their chances a ton either.

We've all been saying something like this every week but at this point I just stop saying ****. Let's just Zen the **** out and watch, we're already guaranteed a spot in the playoffs and that chance is that is needed. So here's hoping that by then the O line is playing better, healthy Conner, all that stuff

Right now we need to get our own act together after that display and probably losing Bud. If we keep playing like that there will be no need to worry about going 16-0 or getting #1 seed.

If we are the team of destiny, I could see things work out this way. We are a bit wobbly now and have another bad game and lose to Washington. As fits the pattern of our gifted Lady Luck schedule, this is the game we can afford to lose and keep #1 seed on track. After that loss we snap back and finish the season strong. If it happens that way you got to believe this is our year.

When you're the San Diego, Errr, Los Angeles Chargers, you find ways to lose games. It's what you do!

I think the Chiefs will get the #1 seed. Steelers will lose to the Bills and at least one other team. The Steelers are not playing well on offence and the loss of Dupree on defence is devastating after already losing Bush.

I know they are 11-0 and we should all stfu and be happy but what they put on the field Wednesday will not be good enough going forward, even Tomlin was clearly furious after the game so why can’t fans be worried. It’s all about being healthy and rolling coming in to the playoffs and it just feels like things are going in the wrong direction right now.

We are in the midst of a stretch of 3 games in 12 days, just lost Dupree, few starters on Covid list, have been playing sloppy, and have some very tough matchups coming up.. Yeah, betting on 16-0 would be a tough bet. It's going to be difficult to fend off KC given their schedule and how they've been playing. I could definitely see KC dropping another game, but I could also see us losing a couple as well.

Bad luck. Injuries to Bush and Bud completely changes what could have been a great D.

Yep, make no mistake they put together a SuperBowl roster and everyone involved deserves credit.

Saying ‘next man up’ is fine but when you are trying to win a Super Bowl you need that but of luck with injuries and we don’t seem to have it unfortunately. Losing Bud at this point, just damn.

I’m probably in the minority but I see the Steelers winning pretty convincingly on Monday. I think they will come out laser focused after that sloppy win and being chewed out by Tomlin. I’m sure the talk of them not being a good 11-0 team will leave a big chip on their shoulder.

The WFT does a good job against teams receivers but thats a little bit inflated because they really haven’t played any teams with a good receiving corps except for Arizona whom they lost to and Dallas whom they beat but Cooper had over 100 yards and a score and the time before that I think Dallas had a 3rd string QB in. I don’t think they will be able to handle our receivers plus Ebron, too. That’s 4 good weapons Ben can throw to anytime not to mention JW seems to make a splash play every week.

I think the Steelers may lose 1 game the rest of the way if they do at all. I’m not buying into this they are a weak 11-0 team.

I think our defense will still be really good but we can no longer afford to lose key members.

even with bud and bush we would be stellar on defense but still need a balanced offense. That’s just my opinion though

I believe there are reasons the Steelers are 11-0, such as turnover ratio, penalty yard ratio, sack %, both offense and defense, overall season rush defense. There are also concerns mainly with the offense and season ending injuries to key defenders. The offense needs to improve in yards per play and churning out first downs. It is week 13 and the offense has not shown a pattern of improvement, so I expect the offense is what it is. If they can avoid turnovers and the defense keeps playing at the same level, the Steelers can make it to the Super Bowl. But at some point the offense is going to need a drive to win a game. The question is will they be able to do it?

Haven't we drove the field like 4 of this years games to score on our final possession? ....then we victory formationed it after D held.

Yes, three times the Steelers have trailed in the 4th quarter, with the Dallas game being the closest to the two minute warning. So maybe perception isn't reality. And maybe the reality is that the offense is inconsistent, which leads to the perception. 2nd in time of possession, 24th in yards per play, 21st in first downs, 6th in 3rd down conversions, 11th in red zone TD percentage. tied for 5th in least amount of turnovers. 22nd in total yards, 1st in least number of sacks.

Yea I agree with you. I don’t get how so many people on ESPN and NFL Network are picking Washington to win this game. Washington has played better recently and I don’t think they are a terrible team but the bottom line is their record is still 4-7 for a reason and they aren’t very good and not on the Steelers level. They have lost twice this year to the Giants and also to a Detroit Lions team who just fired their coach and GM last week. The only way I can see the Steelers losing this game is if they do the same things they did in the Ravens game the other day. Drop passes, go 1 for 5 in the Red zone, turn the ball over more then once, miss extra points etc, and just play sloppy overall.

Washington can’t beat this Steelers team I feel without the Steelers helping them out a whole lot to make that happen. If the Steelers clean up the mistakes from the other day they will win this game as you said I feel rather comfortably.
