Wonder how this is gonna affect Dupree in free agency now. If a team is willing to spend big money on a guy who's gonna miss half of next season

Speaking of the 2010 Packers should we kick the tires on Clay Matthews for depth purposes, I believe he may be available

I know what you're saying, but it's not he's still playing on his 1mil$ per year(average) rookie deal.

The thing about using the short pass game as your run game is twofold, you have to catch the ball, you have to break it for more than 3 yards. The Ravens were consistent in getting our receivers down almost immediately after the catch.

He played pretty well for the Rams last year. Had 8 sacks, his most since 2014 after missing 3 games with a broken jaw. Couldn't reach an agreement with Denver to help ease the loss of Von Miller in early September. Said he is not retired and would sign with a team that was a good situation for he and his family. He's 35 and if he's been working out and staying in playing shape and if Steeler brass thinks he could help offset the loss of DuPree, why not?

Agreed. We saw exactly how that type of offense can go wrong today.

That said, I think the combination of offense and defense was good enough to give the Steelers a shot. Now I don't think so. Dupree is a freakish athlete. They needed that against some of the top offenses.

I know it doesn't work that way. But if they could do a live ACL transplant, he could have mine. Not like my middle aged legs need it anymore.

just finished watching the game as I had to work, but this was unfortunately, what I thought of as soon as I saw the way he went down. Highsmith and Ola will have to step up big time. IDL needs to stay healthy before the dominos really start to fall.

Highsmith needs to improve his tenacity but I think he can be a reliable back up.

I remember the media going on and on about Green Bays injuries, barely a word that the Steelers only started 2 of 5 guys on the Oline that were there when the season started.
I don't blame Mendenhall for the fumble our TE/FB completely wiffed on the block of Mathews that caused the fumble. Before that the Steelers had the momentum.

It really sucks, but if it had to happen probably better now than right before the playoffs. At the very least it will give them time to adjust the defense if need be.

People always say that... but but players come back from ACL tears with little to no drop off.

If he shows he is on the road to full recovery some team will pay him very well.

It is really only when the injury is highly catastrophic or they are much older when it is a problem.

As long as he's not a running back, Steelers have no interest in those.

What I'm saying is it sucks to see him get injured but if this affects his free agency if we'd be able to get him back for cheaper because of it. Just a thought

I think where losing Dupree will really hurt us is in run defense.

Before Dupree started playing well, we used to get gashed by the run on his side ... like when the Jags came in and ran it down our throats during the playoffs.

Titans will be especially difficult to beat now.

My response wasn't serious, Skipper isn't the answer even if he was available.

He's around 35 years old, and hasn't played all season I doubt he would be much help.

I so understand that but if it stopped we'd be missing 11-0.

Mother f----- This is a special Steeler D this year. Losing Bush was bad enough. This team reminded me of early 70's teams. The D ran the show, now we could be in trouble.
