I can't figure out what the NFL would gain by alienating one of the most (if not the most) popular franchises in the league. The franchise who's fans are known for buying all the merchandise and selling out road stadiums, ect.

The Baltimore Ravens beat the Steelers. RG III threw for 96 yards and an interception. He had as much to do with beating the Steelers as the long snapper.

Maybe because our QB was a rusty never-was?

Well, it`s Friday and I have not seen they cancelled the game yet. Not sure how I would feel about Goodell making them forfeit. It would light a fire under the rest of the NFL, fear of forfeit, and get better compliance. However, if we receive a forfeit win in a season we win the Super Bowl, there would be an asterisk on that Lombardi.

Sometimes going negative can have an equal or greater response from the base. Piss off Steeler Nation and get them to buy, pay, watch more.

Not sure I buy this sacrificial lamb the Ravens are throwing out there. Just as likely that after a month of careful adherence to protocols that revealed no areas of concern that they simply weren't careful about it because there was no data to support it.

No Ben, no Claypool, no Conner, JuJu playing awful.

Not worried about RGIII in the least.

When I first read this I forgot it was in reference to last year. My heart skipped a beat with the first sentence.

A wonder if I get to use that heart beat later on when I might need it? Hmm..

Maybe^? Of course I want them to go for the perfect record but ultimately it’s about the stairway to 7. If the game does end up forfeited I’ll take it. I’ll also take a Thursday night game against the Redskins too along with the extra rest heading into the Sunday Night game against the Bills:herewego:

What is fair? They are playing football during the worst pandemic in a 100 years, players hugging each other after making a good play, coaches hugging players on the the sidelines no wonder covid is spreading among teams, owners wanted this season so they could collect TV money upwards of 100 mill to have a season. I'm surprised covid isnt spreading more than it is on these teams, to say the steelers are always getting screwed because games are getting canceled is just part of pandemic football nothing more or nothing less.............

So it's likely that the Steelers earn the number 1 seed with the bye week advantage only to see all other playoff teams have a bye week because of violations of protocol by the Ravens. F*** that. It should not be an option.

Ravens just finished playing the Titans. 2 teams that seem to always have the most covid issues.

Raiders lose draft picks. They were forced to play the Chiefs without much practice and the whole defensive starters out with covid. We had Ben, Vince out pending testing after McDonald tested positive and our game wasn't pushed back. What is going on? Aren't the rosters expanded?

I don't believe anything happened to Vrabel and the Titans. Now the Ravens coach can shut down the facility and force the league try to re-schedule?? Why aren't these teams losing draft picks?

Mike Tomlin is canceling practice again today as the #Steelers await more information on the status of Sunday’s game against the #Ravens, I’m told by members of the organization.

That really has no bearing on the Steelers getting screwed because someone on the Ravens didn’t follow protocol.

They are 11 weeks into the season and have done a remarkable job keeping things under control. The few outbreaks they have had, were because of people not following the rules.

I think the thing that people are missing, is when Ben went to protocol, the steelers were not having any further positive tests. That is not the case with the Tenn game that was rescheduled earlier this year and the ravens game now.

Don’t know if this was suggested yet but just saw someone with the idea of moving the Steelers/Ravens to Tuesday and then Ravens Thursday night game to Sunday.

Only thing with that is the Steelers are playing a short week. Or could move their Sunday game to Monday.

The number one seed would lose the bye and have to play the 8th seed in the 1st round
