Derek Watt Time

We know what he is capable of, we will keep the wrapping on him for when he is needed-Mike Tomlin.

 

He whiffed on a couple of blocks last week... Hopefully it was just rust and he can get into the flow of the game, with some real reps and help the running attack.

 

I'm not sold on how effective we will be with a lead blocking fullback as our primary focus shift for the run game. As bad as our OL is getting pushed off the line of scrimmage, Watt will be met by a bunch of asses before he gets to the defense. (Pun intended)

I hope I'm wrong and he's able to hit someone not wearing black and gold.

 

If they use McFarland some it would work will some misdirection sell run to the right with Watt leading but have McFarland go left into a gap between tackle and guard.

I've been saying this all week on Twitter, I'd like to think somebody on the team saw it and thought hmmm , maybe this guy is onto something, unlike our coach who is too blind to see anything with those dark shades on.

 

Still practically half of the regular season left. Plenty of time to establish a power running facet to their offense. With that said, I’ll believe it when I see it.

 

You do realize that the Steelers are undefeated, 9-0, without a blemish on their record. And yet you choose to bang on the coach of the only undefeated team by calling him blind? So blind that we have not lost a game?
How absurd would your posts be if the Steelers were 8-1, or heaven forbid 7-2?

 

I think we bought a lame horse on this one. Last I heard he was still listed as injured. Never has fully recovered from an injury he suffered in San Diego.

I would question his Covid time in the offseason, but he was working out with his brother and I don't see any problems in TJ's game.

Probably doesn't matter anyway with Ben refusing to go under center for most plays.

 

Watt played last week, and with him at FB they gained zero yards .

 

You need to get to know Jim. Its kinda of his thing, like Sdot starting Boycott threads or I quit the NFL threads, PWP and moving any tall receiver to safety or CB, Glenn and Who? And many other board member personalities. We just roll with it.

 

Just for the record not just any tall WR and not to CB only to Single High Safety .. The player must be fast and not used much on Offense.. The only reason I can keep calling for it is we can't really play it because of our talant level for that position..Richard Sherman credits his WR play with why he is a great CB ,I would like the Steelers to have a top deep Safety only like 1 or 2 of those guys come from the position each year so a outside the box way could be a great way to get one/create one..PWP out..lol

 

I'm always glad you are part of the community PWP. Wasnt 3 years ago or maybe 4 that you were on a switch from WR to CB kick or vice versa? Some player that went on to the Falcons if I remember correctly.

 

I mean hand the ball off to Watt and let him smash some heads like the Bus used too.

 

They have no running game , they just keep doing the same crap plays over and over thinking the results will improve. Connor is doing nothing and MT just keeps throwing him out there without mixing it up with Snell.

 

They should've tried Sweed and Moncrief at CB or Safety
