Where has he been this year?

Why was he not targeted in the Ravens Game at all?

I thought for sure with the strength of the Ravens Corners that we could have picked on their LB's and Safeties in the middle of the field with 2 TE's?

Ebron took over and that's not a bad thing.

    Hey Da Stellars.

I have been asking this all season. It seems he has been fulfilling the role of blocking and seems to be content with it. I am a huge McDonald fan. The way he punishes people when the ball is in his hands. Just a thing of beauty I tell you. I have stated that we have so many "Catchers" on this team. Like I stated in another post, I had to ask where JuJu was a few games ago and now he has "resurfaced" the last two games. I am asking the same about Washington and McDonald. I am looking for McDonald to have something like five catches for around 75 yards and two touchdowns coming up pretty soon. The same for Washington. i do not think that they will be unheard of much longer.

Let teams focus on JuJu, Claypool, DJ, Ebron. Now we hit them with McDonald, Washington, McCloud and others.

We have so many weapons on the Offense which is what I have been saying since the Draft. So many that IMO, the opposing teams should not be able to deal with us. Remember all that we can score thirty points per game talk when AB and Bell were here? However, very rarely did it happen though. With this Offense, I think it can. Maybe even forty sometimes. Again, IMO, we just have too many weapons for teams to be able to deal with us.

I think Vance has been pushed back to blocking TE to give Ebron more passing snaps to get on page with Ben..

Come seasons end and playoffs I expect to see more 12 personnel utilizing both as receivers!!!

    Hey Cajun.

Normally, I try to get around to as many different threads as possible when I can dedicate time to The Board. However, as stated in my post above, I am a huge McDonald fan. If I was to get another Jersey, his would definitely be in major consideration. Does he have a nickname? "The Punisher" would have to be an option. The man is a monster. Brutal I tell you. I do not like to play favorites per se, because as long as a player dons the Black and Gold he is a favorite. However, the man sure is truly a pleasure to watch when he is in full motion.

    Take care.

Yeah seems he is forgotten with the influx of talent competing for balls. Vanimal is a good te.

Vanimal!!!! Once he gets involved in the passing game again and Watt returns I see an Offense that cannot be stopped!!!

Last year with all the cap talk 89's[McD] 7mil was in play by some. Mark Barron was about the same and was on some cut lists. My guess was between the two McD would go. Nope!

It seems with McD now primarily blocking the choice was between a very good cover ILB and a solid run blocking TE.

Anyway, this year the D has been good but frankly last year it seemed to be tighter. At least on possession plays. What is different? I dunno! Hargraves? Everyone thinks Alualu has been more than adequate. Frankly, he is better.

The only other change then is Barron. And Williams has really done well.
So what is the reason for so many 3rd down lapses?

Anyhow, I thought they should have kept Barron. As it turns out, they would not have needed to trade for an ilb now. I know from reading posts this year that noone agreed with keeping Barron, but then what is the explanation of the difference in last years intimidating/stifling D and this years very good but spotty one? I dunno!

I suppose the best case scenario was to keep them both. That salary cap crap messes things up.

Hey cajunyankee. Thank you for the reply.

Totally forgot about Vanimal. How could I have forgotten? Then Vanimal it is (smile). The man is a monster. I get a thrill with the ball in his hands. Hines Ward type mentality. Only from a Steeler. Yes, I believe his day is coming real soon. Hey, if he is content with blocking then so be it. Then again, there is nothing like the smell of the end zone. I am sure he would not mind a whiff or two. Again, we have too many weapons on Offense that they cannot all be accounted for IMO.

If you do not mind, fill me in on the other Watt. Just a bit. I have heard bits and pieces about him and how he could be an impact player. In all honesty, I am out of the loop on what he brings to the table. I know he is a Fullback and that is about where my background knowledge on him ends. From what I have read here and there, many are very big on him. What is the scoop? Thank you in advance.

Vance himself several weeks ago said he's perfectly happy filling a blocking role, and that seems to be what's happening. He's very good at it, and the current combination of Vance and Ebron seems to be working well as is, with Vance filling that blocking role.

He's not getting dinged as much in the blocking role and he's really gotten a hell of a lot better at it!

Problem is on some of those passing downs to keep them honest, Ebron has to block and he's terrible!

I agree. McDonald is a weapon we are not using near enough. Especially since they are looking at ebron in coverage.

Watts best asset to the team is his ST play where he is a beast. He’s also a FB and a very good one, pass protection and run blocking BUT he also has very good hands, watching him catch he seems natural at it.

And Like I say every year... “ The FB is always open” and if , and that’s a BIG If, our OC will use him it just opens our offense tremendously ....... And being a HUGE Rocky B. Fan I like the two Back sets!!!

    Hey Lizard72.

Personally, when I look at Ebron's physique and style of play, he reminds me so much more as a WR. Minus one game of two mis-handlings of the ball, he has done exceptionally well and has made up for that one game. His hands do seem reliable and has come up with some great catches.

I think Vance will get his day in the end zone pretty soon. As I stated often here, this Offense is stacked. At WR alone, look at the line-up below. Everyone has a unique skill-set and can be the number one target on any given day. In no specific order:
    • JuJu
    • Claypool
    • DJ
    • Ebron (I consider him a WR in my book.)
    • Washington
I also think that anyone of the RBs can come up with a big day as well. Conner and Samuels are definitely that capable.

I did not forget about McCloud who has also shown flashes of impact type plays. Cain? (smile)

Again, pick your poison. This line-up should be given opposing teams fits and so far they have done well. IMO, I still think we can get thirty to forty points a game once Ben really starts to feel it again.
