I did watch Jones' game vs LSU yesterday. CEH took him to task once or twice, but Jones had a couple PBUs. He got stuck on some blocks a little but had good timing on his blitzes. I want to watch a couple more if they are available.

allen wasn't on the roster last year. He was on the practice squad until Kelly got in trouble and released.

That just proves my point of what they think about him and now he’s currently 2nd on the depth chart at FS. Which everyone knows he isn’t. So what does that say about the current state of our FS position?

that was last year. They have made moves to bring safeties in. We still have our starter. Sutton played as the dime back last year and I doubt that changes this year. He played 25% of the shape on defense. One thing that may change is laynes field time. I just don't see the need especially at 49. I do see them looking at cb. 3 meetings with cbs so far. Also safety types that can play LB as well as play the pass as safeties. 2 of them so far. Now when they went to Clemson pro day I'm sure they looked Wallace over or are at least aware.

Do you even watch the games? Hilton is better around the line of scrimmage, he gets beat often in coverage, the tape don't lie.

do you? Steve nelson has a 50% completion rating. Haden 53.7%. Hilton 54.3%. The other two have the sideline that also helps them to work. The slot is more difficult to defend. He was ranked 18th out of the top 25 corners last year. Haden was tied for 25th. Steve nelson was 7th. He's better then you think.

He did look a lot better in coverage with a legit free safety helping over the top when his guy went vertical.

Just draft 6 free safeties, that should heal everything. Start 11 of them on defense. That should do it.
