Tomlin says we'll take the same approach with Harrison and Polamalu this week. They're day to day and we'll see where they're at by the end of the week.

    Other injuries:
    Dwyer: Turf Toe
    Gilbert: Strained groin
Miller: Rib cartilige separation, will be limited in practice this week.

Their status is to be determined.

Sylvester: Moving closer to being ready.

Mendenhall : will get some thumps in pads this week. Says he is running and cutting well.

Said 1st and 10 and 2nd and medium yardage needs improvement.

Says the defense got off the field well on 3rd downs. Mentioned the liklihood of seeing more defensive packages.

Gave the usual praise to the opponent this coming week.

Wasn't quick to give praise to Suisham. Was asked about his seemingly improved punts, and Tomlin said that fatigue hasn't set in yet because it's early in the season. Also, with the ball being placed on the 35 punts are going through the endzone all around the league.

Said DeMarcus Van Dyke has been an asset to them on special teams and says he has similar attributes that Cortez Allen and Curtis Brown have.

When asked about the refs, he said 'The refs aren't in my wheelhouse'.

Good stuff. Just some expected minor dings and thats it. Most will be limited earlier in the week and I have a feeling they will all be good to go this weekend (of the new injuries).

    Yeah. :(

Hopefully it's a Grade 1. Turf Toe can sideline guys for quite a while.

well it seems like gilbert gets nicked up weekly.

I doubt Harrison or try play this week give them 2 full weeks to get heathly for Vick and company. Mendy should be starting after the bye and I can not wait to see what he does in Haley offense

I would highly doubt Harrison, Mendy, and Polalmalu play. Hopefully, it doesn't show the rest of the team that the Raiders are a lay down, because no NFL is a lay down, just ask the Patriots from last week.

The Raiders top two CB's are out Sunday... Do we see more 4 WR sets this week? Seems like a good way to attack. They would likely have a PS guy covering Sanders or Cotchery.

I certainly hope this is the case. Knowing our luck, the PS guy will turn out to be an amazing from-the-ashes king for a day, but still - sense says we utilise the talent we have, and hit them where it's going to hurt them.
