ae you blind redman at one point in time had 5 yards on 6 carries and that included a 13 yard run. Red is just not the back we thought he was. Mendy and dwyer make for a mean two headed monster. mendy has averaged 1000 yards per season in a passing offense with a horrible oline and his ability to get to the outside makes him extremely dangerous since it seems that is the only way we get positive yards.

What about our running game is "fine"? Our running game has gotta be the worst in the league.

I think it has less to do with Redman not being the back "we thought he was" and the two teams we have played selling out to stuff the run on obvious running downs. It is hard to get a head of steam built up when guys are getting into the backfield and making plays. I think I saw them try to run a sweep out of the 3 TE set during the first quarter and one of the OLinemen was literally blown back three yards
behind everyone else and the whole play was destroyed at that point. Not sure about this next point but some of the delays and draws I saw during yesterdays game were so slow in developing it didn't matter if the defense bought the fake since they had plenty of time to recover before the exchange. Also are Dwyer and Redman being allowed to build up a head of steam before the exchange or are they standing still and Ben drops back and hands it to them? That could make a difference as well.

People, Mendy is head and shoulders better than any
RB we have. He is the only everydown back that can take it to the house.
You could have Walter PEYTON back there and he
wouldn't be successful. You have to have a hole to run thru. I like all our RBs
and when we get back DD and our OL starts to gel then you will see a much improved running game.
There job right now is not to get #7 killed,

I don't like our running game right now, but I don't put all that blame on the RBs. There just aren't a lot of holes made for running well. As teams get eaten alive by Ben, it will loosen up some, plus with Haley they are still experimenting a little. At the moment what we are getting out of it, is the ability to use play action and control the ball with short passes going for first downs.
