I have a Harrison and bell jersey that I no longer wear. That should tell you all you need to know lol

I just don’t “hate” any of them.

Bruh, it isn't about promises. It is about winning. The "promise to play" is a contract given to a starter. The expectation, by both player and fan, is that when a beast is riding the pine, there had better be a bigger, badder beast on the field. That wasn't the case.

Our best pass rusher sat on the bench and watched his replacement stink up the joint. We needed Deebo on the field and suffered as a defense because he wasn't playing. He needed to be rewarded for preparing himself mentally and physically to do what we were paying him to do. Tomlin screwed him and this team. Why blame him for giving Tomlin the bird and sticking it to this organization? He could have gone to the Pats, Ravens, Browns, etc. And honestly, we shouldn't say crap about it.

Ok good. I'm glad you've seen the light brother hotness. You are no longer blinded by the one play.

What Harrison did and the legacy he ruined is what makes it so egregious. Just imagine if Polamalu or Ward went out like this. Ward was rumored to go the Ravens in the off-season and people lost their ****. Harrison joined the Patriots just for the playoffs to try to help them tie us in Super Bowls out of spite to Tomlin. That's far worse. Then factor in what he did to the locker room when he was suppose to be a leader. Possibly in ABs ear and making us lose the #1 WR in the league. The media tours pumping the Patriots up. Defending their cheating ways and saying Gilmore deserves DPOY over Watt. He wants to play both sides, it's one or the other. He doesn't want to be a Steeler, let him go.

Those two don't go together. You can't make off season promises and win. Things change. Traitorson started the Bears game and they got gashed for 200+ yards rushing. He was falling off. Once he left, Watt and Bud go to play their proper sides and one of the best tandems in the league. I'm glad they didn't ruin their development for this treacherous scum.

I’m trying to stay out of this so bad because you’re like a ISIS member when it comes to Harrison. You’re entitled to your opinion but when you just start blatantly making things up to support you’re narrative I have to chime in. Almost everything you say is rumor, hearsay and conjecture. I would expect you to be at least fair and rational in your opinion but that’s clearly asking a lot. Harrison started against Chi. and we got gashed for 200yds?

Outside linebackers – With rookie T.J. Watt out injured, Anthony Chickillo played 95% of the defensive snaps at right outside linebacker. He was replaced for 3 plays by veteran James Harrison. Arthur Moats also played just 3 snaps against the Bears. ( still think Tomlin was right? )

Taken from SD but don’t let actual facts get in the way of your ranting and raving. Why start now, huh? I know the excuse will be “OK I didn’t exactly get the Chi. game right but everything else is true” when in reality you don’t know or can’t prove hardly any of it.

Hmmm...let’s see what we can blame James Harrison for next? Global warming,Brexit, unemployment, starving children. Was he alive for the Titanic? Was it the Russians meddling in the election? Fake news...it was JH all along .

My apologies, it was the week after where he had 15 snaps against the Chiefs. My point still stands, he wasn't good enough to see the field over Bud or Watt.

You're about as accurate as Mason Rudolph.

    1) Show me where ANYONE said offseason promises have anything to do with winning.

    2) Pro Football Reference does not show him starting ANY games in 2017. I'll trust them before I trust you. Get your facts straight.

    3) Through the first 12 games of 2017, Silverback played only 29 snaps, with 15 of those coming in week 6 against the Chiefs (who only rushed for 28 yards, btw). That leaves a total of 14 snaps to distribute through 11 games. How many snaps did he actually play against the Bears? Not more than 14. And let's say he played 14 snaps against the Bears (which he didn't). The Bears rushed 38 times that game. Maybe they rushed for 220+ yards on only the 14 plays he was in the game?

    4) After Shazier and Dirty Red got injured and they moved Moats from outside to inside, Harrison was used for 11 snaps against the ratbirds in week 14. Silverback was released by the Steelers after only playing in 5 games and being a healthy scratch for most of the season.

    5) Once he left, Watt and Bud were one of the best tandems in the league? Sure about that? Did you WATCH the 2018 season???? Any of it???? Seriously???? Whatever you're smoking...give me some.

    5) After being released by the Steelers, he went to the team with the best offer and best chances for success. And how many teams out of the playoffs were going to sign him to a contract? There were only a handful of teams in a position to use his services at that point. He could have sat at home and watched the playoffs or went to the fricken New England Patriots and likely put another ring on his finger. He would have been stupid not to.

    6) And lastly, "he was falling off." In his first game with the Pats, he registered 2 sacks, a forced fumble, and five total tackles against the Jets. I wish he had been put on the field more for us so he could have continued "falling off." We could have used it.

I know you hate him. I accept that you hate him. That's fine. But before you show up here, half-cocked, and start rambling incoherencies, misstating facts, and disregarding logic, please understand that some of us can smell your BS a mile away. Hate the guy or don't. I don't care. But you better make some damned sense when you are trying to shove your weak opinion down my throat.

Whoa a whole 15 snaps and if I remember correctly he had a game saving sack in that game. So your point may stand but it’s on the most rickety kind of legs I’ve ever seen. Just because you think your point stands still doesn’t mean you’re right. Rant and rave away though....

He played 3 snaps against the Bears. Stop trying to bring facts and logic into the discussion. They’re of no use against him....

You kind of missed the part about the player being disruptive, sleeping in meetings , etc., but yeah that pretty much sums it up. I don’t like the way he maneuvered his way out of town, but he was squandered unnecessarily here that season. It was frustrating watching the defense struggle to generate a pass rush with him sitting on the bench after seeing how he almost single handily preserved the win vs. the Chiefs earlier that season. He should have been a 4th quarter closer for us.

Look, maybe Tomlin and Butler handled it wrong. Looking at their track record it's not hard to believe. Traitorson lacks the ability to stop, think, and look at the big picture. Just go into retirement a Steelers legend. Suck up your pride with Tomlin and take a coaching gig with the Steelers. He had nothing else to prove with another Super Bowl with the Pats. It wasn't about money because he made like 30k for the 4 games with the Pats. At least you can kind of understand why Bell did what he did. It was pure spite to Tomlin. That's why he still bashes him every chance he gets in the media.

He's still not smart enough post retirement to distance himself from the Pats. He's defending their cheating and riding with Gilmore over Watt. He can blow Belicheat in the media all he wants but he doesn't give a **** about him. Pats fans are never going to claim him, he played 4 games with them and lost a SB. He's pandering to people who don't care about him and losing more Steelers fans with every interview. Bradshawing himself out the gate. Horrible strategy but he's too stupid to admit he was wrong.

Sounds like the only Steeler fan he’s losing is you, and you were gone anyway. I think the vast majority of fans don’t care about him one way or the other.

I already told you this just a couple weeks ago, JH didn't get to play much if at all in that game! Chick got gashed on his side. That's why I was screaming about them not using him in that game and much of the season.

I’ve been thinking of buying up Harrison and Bell jerseys cheap on eBay so that can wallpaper the walls of my garage with Steelers jerseys without it costing a fortune.

You ever stop to think that maybe JH felt like he had enough left in the tank to be a key player, and wanted very badly to play and win? You think a competitor like that is going to be happy hanging up his cleats before he wants to? You think he’s going to flush his competitive juices down the toilet to sit on the bench when he thinks there’s an opportunity to play and get back to knocking QBs on their butts? Your logic is flawed because it doesn’t even consider what might have been going on inside his head; the head of a fierce competitor. It only considers your perception of what he should have thought and done.

    Compare and contrast:

Steeler hero James Harrison is let go because the Steelers have no more use for him, latches a job with Pats and he's a traitorous heel.

Steeler hero Hines Ward is a WR coaching intern and the Steeler decide not to give him a full time coaching job, so he latches one with the Jets, and is still a hero in good standing.

Question: if Hines were the WR coach for the NE Pats would he be a traitorous worm, too?

Please not again. The man was lied to. Thought he should be playing more.
MT didn't play him so he left to play on a team that would play him. That is it.

Who knew that TJ was going to be starting out of the gate when they asked Deebo to come back for one more year?

It wasn't about TJ Watt, We still had Bud getting more snaps than
a multiple year pro Bowler that dedicated the entire off season getting ready to play.
And then when he didn't he got pissed off and got himself released. It is really that simple.
As someone mentioned in another thread he should have been our 4th quarter closer.

I didn't miss the part about his shenanigans. My assumption is that they were a product of the situation, not the other way around. Tomlin wasn't tanking the defense to send a message. Sending a message would have been not starting him or sitting him for a game or fining him. But to pay him not to play while the defense is desperate for him punishes the team far more than him.

And just to put things in perspective, AB was balling at that point and being just as, if not more, disruptive. So now Deebo is getting screwed over by the NFL for how he plays, countless "random" drug tests, AND his coach diminishing his value. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been a model athlete at that point either.

I simply don't fault the guy for throwing his hands up and saying screw it, I'll play for the Pats, bitches. Devalue this!!
