Tonight I delivered my first Roethlisberger (yes they have them in Amish land!). Listening to some hicks commenting on different teams (ESPN radio) they said Oakland kept 4 QB's. Carr (no brainer), Glennon, Peterman, and picked up Kizer. These are all on the 53 man roster. Seattle only has one QB at this time, Indy is in need, and the list goes on....yet Dobbs sits as our 3.

I have no idea if the Steelers offered him, if they had any enquirers...but you have to wonder just how much value he really has if these bums are on a roster. Don't forget that the guy Dobbs replaced last year could not stay on a roster that ended with Glennon, Peterman, and Kizer on the roster.

Seattle just re-signed Geno Smith, so they have 2 QBs right now.

I guess long days and tiredness should be taken into account before one decides to post. LOL. There was a lot of speculation about Dobbs last week. Would he be traded before the cuts, was there interest from teams who had QB injury problems? Would Indy show interest after Luck retired?

While we do not know if any team showed interest in Dobbs, or if the Steelers put him out as trade bait, other teams are keeping or signing QB's like the ones I mentioned, who have been very unimpressive to say the least. If they are choosing them over Dobbs, how much trade value does he really have? I would say none.

HE is very much or more so like Landry Jones last year in that regard he has value in the right system. Putting Dobbs in a West Coast Offense would require a lot of work to get him up to snuff. Put him in the type of system the Ravens used last season he has more success. so really a skill based thing rather than his value as a QB

I think he has a better skill set than B. Osweiler whom the Colts have signed. Unless they are looking for a pure pocket passer that is prone to interceptions. Steelers are not looking to move him imo.

The Colts are going to sign Brian Hoyer, Seattle re-signed Geno Smith, the Raiders will cut one of their QBs. Dobbs has no trade value.

Almost exactly right, though what the Raiders actually did was put Peterman on IR. Close enough. :)

Dobbs was just traded to the XFL. They waived Landry Jones...

I would imagine not. A guy that has thrown 12 passes is not going to have a market. They couldn't even find any suitors for Landry who had much more actual game time experience.

Way back in my youth, long before GrubHub and DoorDash, I worked for Foods-A-Coming.

Wonder how my old boss feels seeing these national businesses now, he was 15 years ahead of GrubHub. He has to be like :frustrated:
