UPSET STEELER FAN

ok let me start off saying this. This whole damn soap opera is flat out ridiculous. I mean really we are the PITTSBURGH STEELERS and some of this crap going on is sick. first the bell thing now Antonio.It all boils down to this Antonio is not a football player he is a selfish spoiled grown man that needs to grow up. And how dare him call Ryan Clark A Uncle Tom . thats ridiculous and makes me sick. his damn jersey is now in my crawl space in my basement along with bells Jersey. I'm done with him . also if I was art Rooney 2 id get rid of him . don't need players like this . I want team football players not grown men that act like children. We have talent on this team and the reason we are not in playoffs is not because of the damn refs its because we have absolutely NO DISCIPLINE AT ALL. Ive been a Steelers fan for 42 years and this was the absolute most miserable year of steelers football I have ever watched and that even tops the 1988 steelers 5-11 and in the late 90s when we went 7-9 6-10 and 9-7. I mean seriously people its a pride thing being A Steelers fan but when you have selfish grown men that act like brats its makes us fans look bad also, but idiots like bell and Antonio that have all this talent and act like they do is absolutely disgusting. get rid of these players and get FOOTBALL PLAYERS with leadership values and good team work ethic.

 

Sad how the fans have more sense and know what's best for the team than the ppl running the team

 

Thanks to social media and fantasy football, where are you going to find really talented players who aren't all about their stats?

The problem is it's more about the cents and not the sense....

 

Steelers missed their window of opportunity. It's gonna take at least 2 years to get the defense back to championship caliber, IMO. The offense will take a hit, but still be OK without AB, if there is a trade. A lot of this turmoil will subside over time... fans are still in shock over missing the playoffs and the sports media tends to be hyperbolic, making mountains out of mole hills. We've seen this before.

Now NE might be a different story because they actually have a QB and coach solely focused on winning. Unlike some other team we know....

 

One of the best things about being a Steelers fan is win/lose/draw we did it with class. I was poking around some forums and everyone is talking crap about us, it's embarrassing because they are right. Their teams still suck and are a joke but now we are too. Can Bettis still run? Bring him, Troy & Hines back please.. PLEASE!

 

I can't believe I'm even saying this but.... NE sucks so bad this year, but somehow I just know they are going to win the SB. Brady throwing the ball 5 yds off all the time now, their D SUXXXXXX & we finally beat their azz, but somehow they are the #2 seed? I just know it man, those annoying ungrateful D-bags are going to win. I'm sick even thinking about it.

 

It will take a lot more than 2 years.

 

Honestly in the age of social media there will be a lot more ABs in the future - not only on the Steelers but around the NFL. It stinks and it makes me less inclined to watch the game, but it's the reality of the world we live in now.

 

We need to realize these are far from grown men playing a sport for the love it and the team. We are dealing with kids with millions of dollars who have been pushed along simply because they are good at playing football. They are what they are and act like which requires special coaches that can channel their inner stupidity (not all players, but the ones that piss us off) toward a unified goal. We do not have this.

 

I still think there are good character players out there and some of them are even on our team right now but it will take more than the coddling puppet that Mike Tomlin is to turn this fiasco around. This ship has hit the ice burg and is sinking fast. Players are turning on each other grasping for life jackets and the organization is telling everyone to remain calm.
I'm not a knee jerk reactor but I've seen enough and this whole thing needs to be blown up even if it means getting rid of all the stars. I want players who want to be here and appreciate every last cent we provide for them instead of clowns that want to skip practice, throw tantrums and behave like 5 year olds.
Love the Black N Gold and always will but it's going to be a long time for us to sniff another Championship should we continue with the status quo or the Standard being the Standard.

 

Agree. We don't have total idiots on the team. However, it only takes a few bad apples to ruin it for everyone and create this hellish drama. I'd say we have a few cancers that do most of the damage. Its the 5% of the players causing 100% of the issues. We're like a mighty ship that is without a rudder.

The AB's, OBJ's, Elliots, etc. of the football world are sadly going to outnumber the Hine's, Troy's, Heath's etc...

Every year, more and more money..more outbursts, EVERYTHING instantly on social media...The young talented kids sadly again ) coming up now know...They can basically act like little brats, with little or no repercussions...Their idols, damn grown men, do and act however the want..

There will be fewer and far between...great guys, fan favorites...You'll always have exceptions like Conner, Heyward...But don't get all worked up over the " I care more than these damn, greedy players do "...

Cheer for the " TEAM " ...I'm still a big time Steeler fan, have been my whole life...But I don't get worked up like I used to...If they don't give a ****...Why should I...

But I will agree that this season was my most frustrating as well...So many expectations...****ted away!

 

Being an avid Pirate fan I rarely complain about the Steelers or Penguins but the Steelers have finally got me off the rail.

I disagree. The oddballs get the press, while the ones just doing their jobs toil in relative obscurity. Those “good guys” are all around us, but they get little media attention. Fans have to actively look to see what they’re quietly doing.

 

We are all upset, no playoffs under achieving team. Yes we are upset. Hope for the better.

 

This team has the talent to put up 40+ EVERY week against any team in the NFL with any other coach.....I have also been a fan for 42 yrs. I remember the dark years and I dont think they were as bad as this one. At least during those years, you knew there was not a lot of talent. This team had the talent to win the SB the last 2 yrs.

I have no 2nd teams except for whoever is playing the Cheaters and Cowgirls.

Time for Hockey/Basketball season. GO PENS!!!! GO HEELS!!!

 

I'll preface this by saying, I think it's time to move on from Tomlin and get a disciplinarian. That said, is it Tomlin's fault that Ben under/overthrows open receivers every game? Is it his fault that some defensive players forget how to tackle half the time? His fault that the kicker misses? His fault that refs miss blatant penalties and call phantom ones?

 

IMO the Steelers succumbed to talent > character and now are seeing the fruits of the results of that.


It's like a disease that is contagious and spreads to others.


This is why Antonio Brown and anyone else like him needs to go ASAP.

These are cancers that have their attitudes spread to others. Imagine a Ju Ju that's acting like Antonio Brown. It's not unimaginable if this is tolerated.

Get rid of the cancers and reward good behavior. Give Brown's contract to Ju Ju. If only it was that easy. Need to invest in those good players who have a good character.

Bring back the integrity of this team.

these types of players don't get sympathy from me. They can leave and so can all of the fair weather fans that support them over the Steelers.


Brown is good, but no one can deny that having Ben throwing (many times force because AB's temper tantrums) to him has been a large reason he's been having the success he has had.

The Steelers offered him (as well as the Bell who shall not be named) excellent contracts and conditions for a hall of fame career and they both spat (are spitting) on that.

Get rid of them.
