Practice is just starting up. Here's a few tidbits of info coming through out of camp.

"Redman on field with mates as they begin practice but he is not in pads after todays MRI"

"Mike Adams in full pads for today's practice. It's only 6 days since he injured his knee."

"Jonathan Dwyer IS in pads as steelers practice begins"

"Steelers LB coach Keith Butler says there's a chance Jason Worilds, who hasn't practiced in camp, might miss preseason. Best case: 1 game."

"Keith Butler on Worilds: "Hoopefully we can get him back for the last preseason game, but that may not be the case."

"Mike Adams is running 2nd LT. Gilbert stays at 1st team LT and Foster RT"

"LB coach Keith Butler on Harrison having no spring, no camp to date: "He’s a guy who needs reps. It's going to be tough for him."

"Max Starks to put on pads Friday, but says he's not close to playing yet. ACL recovery time: 9-12 mos. He's at 7 1/2 months now."

"Jonathan Dwyer on Steelers' many injuries at RB: "When one man falls down, the other guy gets an opportunity." That's Batch, Rainey now."

"Starks goes through individual drills with line before heading back over to work out with the PUP guys."

maybe they tie maxs knee and adams knee together like a 3 legged race and put a big jersey over both of them, creating one player "madam X" # 7876. 6-8 tall and 6-8 wide. :hehehe:

Does anyone know what kind of shape Worilds is in? He's a guy like Carter, who has speed and skills but needed to get bigger and stronger. I can't imagine it's easy to lift weights with a bad wrist. This should have been a big year for him, but frankly I don't see how he could improve if he hasn't done jack squat since last season.

I read that too. I was wondering if anybody knows what kind of physical shape he's in. Like, has he been working out? I'm sure he can run, but depending on how bad his wrist is, he might have gone a long time without lifting weights. He could be the anti-Ziggy. He could be weaker than he was a year ago, when we wanted him to be stronger.

i hear ya. i worried about legursky too. he said he couldn't start to lift until camp. i'm not sure how much they have lifted here, until they get back to pittsburgh. thats been all offseason.

the pics i saw of essex looks like he could take another 20 off the middle. unless he's in feeding mode at camp. no wonder he's not looked so hot. there's some nice photos on the main site of these guys.

Sorry to leave everyone hanging, I had to run out unexpectedly. Heyward is just mean...I love it. :D :rawk:

Here's everything else I saw from today, going back a couple hours ago:

"Mike Adams back at practice but not w first team. Marcus Gilbert at LT."

"Dwyer running first team RB in team drills"

"Ryan Baker running second team ILB"

"Steelers RB Jonathan Dwyer is practicing fully. He made a one-handed grab out of the backfield to start 11-on-11 drill"

'Heyward and pouncey fight. No. 9 of camp"

"A couple right hands landed by both Heyward and Pouncey."

"Jon Dwyer really crisp out there. He is thinner and quicker."

'Adams now in with first team at LT. Gilbert switched to RT"

    An hour ago or so~

"Jonathan Dwyer sharp cut in end zone as offense works backed up at own 2"

"Fight No. 9 in 14 days of practice: DL Cam Heyward vs. OL Mike Adams."

"Max Starks taking part in individual work at practice"

"Tomlin very pleased with offense during Steelers team drill, especially the RBs it appears"

"Roethlisberger with a dart through traffic to Antonio Brown in Steelers team session"

"Hey, a Derrick Williams sighting. The WR beat CB Keenan Lewis on a fade in the end zone"

"Also during red zone drill, WR Antonio Brown with a leaping grab in the end zone over top of S Will Allen"

"Keenan Lewis and Toney Clemons exchange some sharp words, guessing they aren't sharing recipes out there."

"Dwyer taking first-team reps at practice. Only logical."

"Redman said MRI went well. Wouldn't elaborate."

"Redman not concerned abt MRI results. Says be back on field Monday."

"Isaac Redman says his injury doesn't appear to be anything serious - hopes to be back in Steelers practice next week."

"James Harrison said his knee "blew back up" after running recently. Hopeful of playing in opener."

"James Harrison said he is week to week. Said he would like to play in a preseason game but did not divulge a time frame after his surgery"

That's all I see for now.

Well snack you're in luck...as I was about 2 feet from him today at camp! He was signing autographs after camp and having some fun wit the fans and such. And while I'm by no means an expert...he looked in pretty good shape to me. I didnt see any type of brace on his wrist or anything. And he looks good going through the PUP drills also. Not saying he's at his full 100% strength/etc...but he doesnt look bad to me at least.

Another note...coach Mitchell and/or some of the DL coaches/assistants...seemed to be working Ta'mu good in some of the drills...not saying he did something bad or whatever I dont know...but i know i seen him do a number of drills over n over. Other than that and seeing some of the guys up close/etc...I really didnt get to pay much attention to practice...as today was more of my autograph getting day than going down and watching much of camp...sorry I dont have much more info. Feel free to ask questions and I'll see if I remember anything that I might have saw from a distance.

Will Johnson had a good day....I firmly believe he would have beat out DJ simply because of his versatility. He was at FB...they had him running HB with the second team....handing him the ball multiple time....DJ's next hand off will be his first.

This is unacceptable. You are to relay those tweets LIVE, dammit! You expect us to sit around and wait for you? You think it's okay to leave every once in awhile, just because something real comes up in your real life?? No. I demand a new Site Administrator. NOW!!!

Seriously though, even if you're just compiling tweets, it makes such a huge difference. Last year I would check them all myself (or try to, which is a pain when you're not on twitter), and it was just such a hassle. Getting them all in one place is amazing. As Roger Craig wrote when he signed his autograph for me, "You da man!" (I tried to get him to write "You're my best friend" but he didn't go for it. I should mention I was in my 20s at the time).

I have to agree with this TTF. Its not like you do enough already around here. You act like you should have some kind of life/job outside of this place and I don't understand that thought process. You create something and then think you can walk away from it, no man, it's a part of you. Walking away from this would be like putting on a toupee but not checking the mirror to see if it was adjusted correctly. Anyhow, I hope to see more of a commitment out of you in the future. By the way...thank you for all that your doing. With my schedule what you and others (mac) share on here really keeps me in the loop. If you guys ever stop in Iowa I will buy you a beer or a prostitute(they cost about the same)!
