DD played well last night ,I also think Adams played well being what they where asked to do.....The play calls seemed to be deliberant in a way to test their most negatives....They tried to run behind DD and they used Adams as a puller more than we ever will IMO.....Thats how I seen the run game go as far as the pass game both guys git beat by speed which is understandable and fixable....

The best thing that DD can doo is pull left, maybe he did it once but if he did I missed it...

The best thing Adams can do is block down and Combo block which I can't recall seeing either....

Neither guy goy beat on a power rush or to the inside both guys forced the players to take the long route......The scheme and the play calling can go a long way towards helping these guys in that regard.....IMO Coach Haley and Coach K where happy with the overall results from both these kids...

DeCastro played hard and showed me some things but Adams gave up 2 sacks in a little over a quarter. How can that possibly even come close to qualifying as "played well". I must be using some other standard.

Adams was atrocious, even for a rookie seeing his first action ever. He wasn't that bad in the running game, but as a LT what we need him to do is pass protect. And he didn't. At all. Unless you were strictly talking about his run blocking, which you didn't say, I don't see how we can trust any of your opinions in the future.

As stated both sacks came on speed rushes and there was no designed help or chips....Also there where no passing windows to that corner he did get beat man on man to the outside ,but a lot of LT'S do..If the Coach shcemes a few plays that attack that spot and force the D to respect that area then Adams will look leaps and bounds better....

We did not run our famous 22 or 23 Trap the 23 Trap would have forced the DE to seal the hole....We did not run a TE to his side and force the quick TE pop play....We did not run a quick out to a TE on that side nor did we run a Slant to that area....There is a lot more we can do and most Teams do to help the LT protect the QB....As stated ib a vanillia system with no help I thought Adams played well for a Rookie at LT in his first ever NFL game...

I'm all for this run vanilla offenses, try out the weaknesses, see where they stand in against NFL level defenses... but I hope the coaches remember that breakdowns in protection lead to injuries, even in preseason.

Right, I'm off to buy Game Pass so I can actually watch this game now.
