REALLY? One of the Most Hated Teams in the NFL?

I found this on Steelers Digeest as we are mentioned as one of the 4-5 most hated teams. For those who do not want to read the link, the main reason is because we have too many people over the last ten years who have jumped on our side because of our winning ways.

I found it interesting from the NFL blogger who called us out, says it has nothing to do with our team. It is only the bandwagon jumpers and our towels which other teams' fans do just not understand.

I know if I were to put out there who is you most hated team I am sure I would get the NE Patriots above all else and for those of you in PA, I am sure I would hear it is the Cleveland Browns. Of course, for us older fans regardless of location, we will always have no positive things to say about the Cryboys.

Living here in Maryland, I will tell you that by far there is no one team I despise more than any other (For those of you, who have seen my posts during the season, this is obvious. And, as a teacher, I do pretty much force my students to root for the Steelers or they get extra homework!) than the Raisins.

I want to hear if I am right about what you think. What team or teams do you hate the most and why?

 

I'll go with the title HARTED Close enough. It's like Hines Ward. If he ain't on your team, you hate him BUT, we all LOVE him

Sorry, I cannot believe I missed that. Anyway, I totally expected to hear Hines and Harrison's names brought up. Here in Maryland, it is our towels and arrogance.... I just think they are mad because anywhere you go in the Baltimore/ Washington area, you cannot go anywhere wearing Steelers clothing and not see another "bunch" of Steelers fans. That makes the Purple Dinosaur-Loving Raisins CRAZY!

In this order:

Cowboys - Because of the old days and they claim to be America's Team. I hate that BS.
Dolfins - Because I grew up much of my life down there with dolfans & they are obnoxious. Plus they have the weakest colors.
Ravens - Because they don't recognize how much they are trying to be us and ray ray's retarded dance.
Patriots - Because they cheated and somehow Bellicheat was awarded "coach of the year" How does that happen???
Cincy - Because they have no reason to be as arrogant as they are and they copied their stupid tag line from the Saint's.
Brown's - Because they are in our division and the old days. And they might be good soon. But probably not. Heheheheh...
Jets - Because I live in this city and went to a game there. 100% A-hole fans.
Seahawks and Raiders - Because they cry.
Cheifs - I don't know why.

Good choices, just remember (I believe) when anyone tries to remind you that Dallas is "America's Team", Pittsburgh was offered that title first and Mr. Rooney said no.

I put the Jets higher now, too, because ESPN and The NFL Network have officially become the New York Jets Nonstop 360 Networks.

 

I hate the Cowboys the most because I became a fan the year that we lost to them. I will forever despise them more than any other team. It's weird for me lately though because since the Cowboys have sucked so bad that I just spend more time laughing at them than I do hating them. But if they should return to prominence I will begin my hate affair all over again. Really AS OF RIGHT NOW I just hate ANY team that has Peyton Manning. But overall I will forever despise the Cowboys and no matter what they do they will never have any hope of me liking them.

 

You beat me to it, mstng, thanks for posting that reminder. Everytime that "America's Team" swagger comes up, I enjoy a laugh because they'll always be second choice.

There's a fine line between hatred and jealousy.

 

My most hated are the Ravens and the Patriots, and if you have to ask why? I think you may have been asleep the last 10 years.

 

Success breeds jealousy. You won't see the Browns on lists like this because no one gets passionate over losers

 

Everyone hates a winner... Who are some of the most hated sports franchises? Us... The Lakers... The Yankees...

I hate the Pats, the Ravens, the Cowboys, etc. I don't hate Cleveland.

In the last two days, I have turned on ESPN and both times it was all about the Jets. This is really getting annoying!

 

I can't believe noone listed the Raiders!
For me, there's not a team in any sport wordwide that I hate more than the Chargers!

 

If I went across the board of all teams I love to hate in all sports it would go like this...

NFL-1. COWBOYS 2. ANY PEYTON MANNING TEAM 3. ANY JOE FLACCO TEAM 4. ANY ELI MANNING TEAM
NBA-1. LAKERS 2. Celtics 3. Pistons 4. Knicks
MLB-1. Braves 2. Cardinals 3. Marlins

As far as my 2nd favorite team in all of sports that would go to the Cubbies.

 

Really? You hate the Mannings but not the patsies and brady?

 

Yeah. I just can't stand the fact that Peyton is supposed to be so awesome and yet his playoff numbers are abysmal. If you could see the absolute manning worship that exists here in east tn you would see my point also. I despise bandwagon fans with a passion and about 90% of people around here were suddenly Colts "fans" once they got manning. I've literally NEVER met a person around here that could tell me the name of the Colts qb BEFORE Peyton! Also I can't stand dome teams w/ the exception of the Saints. My reason to not hate Brady is because he took manning's lunch money for so long and I guess I just feel like the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Also all the bandwagon fans hate Brady so I feel like it's the least I can do to love him. I have issues. I understand.

 

That's funny (using the enemy of my enemy....). I never used to like Eli until he beat brady in that first super bowl match up, then he did it again last season! Now he's my favorite non-Steeler qb!

 

NOOOOOOOOO!!!! DIE HARD SAY IT AINT SOOOOO!!!! The 07 Super Bowl was the biggest debacle of ALL TIME IN ANY SPORT! It was the equivalent of Douglas beating Tyson! As a fan of NFL history I would LOVE to be able to say that I witnessed an undefeated team and I HATE HATE HATE the Dolphins! There's probably not been an entire week go by since that 07 Super Bowl where I haven't thought about what a rip off it really was. David Tyree's catch and the fact that Manning was OBVIOUSLY in the grasp! Then last year the gnats earned the distinction of WORST Super Bowl team EVER! I mean really who can you think of that was worse? 9-7!? Gimme a break! That actually cheapens football to me. But I guess Eli is the enemy of your enemy as well. lol.

 

I'm with you, especially since he's so hated here in San Diego. I love having something else to rub in the faces of Charger fan(s).

 

Well see one of my best friends for life is a DIE HARD TO THE BONE Chargers fan and he HATES Eli because of all that draft stuff where daddy Archie pulled some strings and got him out of San Diego. So I was really rooting for Eli to lose also because my friend is such a hater. He hates him so bad that when they were in the NFC championship against the Packers his little brother came in the room to jazz him about the fact that the gnats were going to the Super Bowl and he honestly threatened to punch a 10 year old in the face! I would never go that far but I really can't stand when people get lucky in sports. Also I love Brett Favre and IF the pats were not gonna go undefeated I ATLEAST wanted to see Brett win another one. Still though I would NEVER threaten a 10 year old so maybe there is SOME hope for me. They would have to be atleast 11 before I would punch them in the face! LOL.

 

Actually in my previous post I meant to say "if the pats were gonna lose" not "if the pats were gonna go undefeated" I'm sorry for any confusion that it might've caused and I will do my best in the future to provide quality posts with great clarity. Thank you.

 

This is exactly it. There is a natural tendency to be jealous of success, and therefore "hate" the team, but of course coming up with all kinds of other "reasons" for the hatred.
