I won`t have time to do this post game 4 and while it's possible it may affect my thoughts I feel comfortable with this list barring injury. Here we go!!

    OFFENSE:
    QB- Ben, Landry, Rudolph
Commentary: Fowler may think 4 QB's will be kept but that is just silly.
    FB: Rosie Nix
    Commentary: nuff said
    RB: Bell,Conner,Samuels
Commentary:Keeping 3 is kinda the standard here But Ridley made me consider 4..... his groin injury ended that
    WR: AB, JuJu,Washington,DHB,Hunter
Commentary: First 4 is set. Hunter beats out Tucker (injuryed) & Patterson ( rte running needs refining)
    TE: James, McDonald, Grimble
Commentary: McDonalds foot and Grimble's thumb should be healed come week one!!
OL: Big Al, Foster, Pouncey, DD, Gilbert, BJ Finney, Feiler, Chuks
Commentary: no one else warrants a roster spot.... Chuks growth from training camp to gm 3 is Great!!

    DEFENSE:
DL: Heyward,Tuitt, Hargraves, Tyson Alualu, Big Dan, Lavon Hooks
Commentary: Competition @ NT was a joke...... Hooks beat out Walton
    OLB: Watt,Dupree,Chickillo,Ola Adeniyi, Farrington Huguenin
Commentary: Ola has been a nice surprise... Keion Adams fails to impress beat out by Farrington..
ILB: V. Williams, Bostic, Tyler Matakeich, LJ Fort
Commentary: These 4 are set.... Thomas is close.....needs more football smarts to play faster
CB: Burns, Sutton, Sensabaugh, Haden, Hilton
Commentary: Brian Allen just didn't grow enough impress enough to warrant a 53 roster spot.
Safety: Burnette,Edmounds,Davis, Dangerfield, Marcus Allen, Nate Berhe.
Commentary: 1st five are set, Berhe beats out B. Allen for the 11th DB spot due to ST. 11 DB's due to new 6 &7 DB sub-packages

    Specialist-
    K: Boswell
    P: Berry
    LS: Canaday
    PR/KR: Ryan Switzer
    Practice Squad-
QB- Dobbs..... if not traded or signed to another team
WR- Marcus Tucker & Damoun Patterson. ( maybe IR Tucker, ankle, to make room for OLB Adams)
RB- Jarvion Franklin..... not impressed with any RB's, Ridley on speed dial, may keep Adams here
TE- Christian Scotland-Williamson... has potential, needs time for growth
OL- Zach Banner.... new and impressing( needs to control his weight) , RJ Prince
    ILB- Kelsey, Thomas
    DL- LT Walton
    CB- Brian Allen

I expect a few of you guys to really not like this and as always welcome your opinions.

Thomas should definitely make it. I know it's unlikely but maybe one less safety, between Dangerfield and Berhe. Let Farrington and Adams battle for that last spot in the last pre-season game. Haven't seen much from either. I'm fine with everything else. Not comfortable with 3 RBs but I'm pretty confident with those 3 and as long as Toussaint is finally gone. I'll be happy. Somebody might scoop up Patterson too. Would suck to lose him.

Not making a prediction on Dobbs other than to say he is still in play if hes playing Sat. Absolutely no reason for him to get any snaps if they've already made up their minds. Mason would get them all.

Thomas makes it, his speed is needed and he earned a spot with his play. If they don't keep 5, Red or Forte are out. I think they'll go with 5 because they value that experience but also won't want to lose Thomas from the PS. So he'll make it.

Switzer won't be ST exclusively, therefore DHB gone.

They won't keep 6 OLB, therefore Brian Allen will make the DB squad.

    Walton over Hooks.

Well CY, Colbert should be nervous - you just did his job for him. ;) Probably 95% of your predictions will prevail though with a few head scratchers as usual come Saturday. Also you're working from who's already here - come Saturday there will be 1184 or so players turned loose less the 256 assigned to PS's. The deep reserves could change a bit with newbies signed. Just hoping that last Saturday's D performance is the real deal and not just lightning in a bottle.

Most people are predicting we keep 6 WRs. Brown, Juju, Washington, Hunter, DHB, Switzer.

I know a lot of people want to put Samuels on the roster, but I truly think we can get him to the practice squad.

I'm not sure if Ridley is a bad special teamer, but if something happens and Bell and Connor go down, I think I want Ridley to tote the rock over Fitz or Samuels for this year. Maybe next year Samuels is much improved and I'm fine with him on the roster, but for this year, I'm not so sure.

Yes Thomas makes it. They may keep 5 ILBs I really think they like Red and Fort has been released and re signed so many times they may feel he's a phone call away. I would try and squeeze 5. I think we keep 6WRs with Hunter being inactive and insurance. Adams over Huguenin. Brian Allen over a safety. I don't see anyway they hang on to Dangerfield,Berhe and M. Allen one will be gone and one will be PS.

I like Patterson and his Story..... If someone signs him to their 53 then good for him and we'll probably sign Griffey to our PS

I wouldn't take the chance with Samuels and Ridley was basically out of the league when we dialed his number. Samuels offers much more as a receiver and if we can get him on Jenny Craig sooner than later he could really be a weapon

Dobbs is playing Thursday so he'll have more tape out there... 1st class move by the Org.... Also protect Ben & Landry from injury.... Gets Mason a few more reps and exposure to NFL defenses...

Thomas' speed isn't enough, he went undrafted for a reason and preseason wasn't good enough to convince other teams to place him on their 53 now.

Switzer is also a slot receiver....

Hooks has clearly out played Walton imho...

I like Ridley but if he even a slight injury I don't believe he'll start off on the Roster.

I just don't think Adams has done anything to warrant consideration for the 53.... Farrington has clearly outplayed him and shown growth over last year.

Brian Allen was a tough cut. Just didn't improve from last year so I kept Berhe ( who I'm not high on) as the 11th DB because he is clearly the Better STer....

I'm actually going to give cajunyankee a big

I think this is pretty close.

I think Thomas makes the roster at the expense of a S, whether that is Dangerfield or Berhe.

I wouldn't mind Brian Allen sneaking in there but I wouldn't know who else to remove.

I think Berry beats out Wile but he will be on a short leash.

I really do like Ola Adeniyi, but is anyone concerned about the number of missed tackles he has?

Of course it's a lot of speculation on our parts because we're not at practice. So basically we are forming our opinions over a few PS plays. So the fact Huguenin might have found himself in good position to make 2 or3 more plays than Adams doesn't tell the whole story or even half of it. If we are basing it on what we see in a PS game then Thomas is s a lock We shall see...

Agree on Berry. Thursday nite game will be interesting in how Wile and Switzer does.

I noticed in the "Seminole" package here were 3 ILBers playing. I think Vince , Thomas and Fort. I may be wrong and correct me if I am.

There’s absolutely no way that Thomas would basically start in the season dress rehearsal, lead the team in tackles and play very well, just to turn around and get cut a week later.

    It’s simply not happening.

Not likely. The Steelers are a classy organization but they aren't a charitable one. Mason would get every snap if they already knew they were cutting Dobbs. Those reps are gold. It's still a business and will do whats best for the organization first.

Teams have been wrong before. Steelers obviously saw something to pick him up. He didn't play the 3rd game and play it well just to get cut.

I know that but you listed him as ST only.

Hasn't played as well as Thomas and you have him being cut. Hooks won't push Walton out.

Now that he's realized that Bostic is making the team he's also realizing that Matakevich is in danger of being cut. He's hoping that somehow Thomas don't make it so Dirty Red does.
I do like that he took the time to make this final 53 prediction. It makes for some interesting discussion.

I do think Thomas makes it. He has ability on the outside too. He is valuable to the team. I think chickillo may be on the bubble.

Good point about reps ...... I assumed everyone new Switzer was a slot receiver also... My bad.

Can't compare DL and ILB as far as production and roster spots ....
