How many times have they score at the end of the half this year? Seems to me the truth behind their time management doesn’t match the urban legend.

I get the third down pass, and if the protection would have held up a second longer Ben makes that throw to Rogers and they get the first down, run down the clock and kick a chip shot field goal. What annoyed me most was not calling one of the two timeouts they had before the end of the first half, instead letting the clock wind down until they spiked it. Call a time out there and you get at least one , maybe two shots at the endzone before you have to kick the field goal.

i have quit wondering on this subject. You would think they discuss situations like this all the time

wouldn't you? Don't we have some stats guy on the payroll to just go over some of these scenerio's

Agreed the first half time management was more dubious....

From what I remember Steelers were down 2 scores with only 4 or 5 mins left in the game and Ben was taking his time getting to the line.

I'm talking about when the Steelers were down by 2 scores with just over 6 mins left in the game. Ben was taking his time . The D finally did their job for the quick 3 and out which helped the cause. I wasn't as worried for the 2nd drive since they only had to get into FG range
