I agree inside pressure rattles him more than pressure from outside. I think we would need a great game from all three down linemen as well as some well timed delayed blitz's. I'd love to see something completely different like some use of a 4 3. Might be able to stuff their run game and get some inside push.

Steelers could do it. Heyward - Alualu - Hargrave - Tuit on Dline. Watt - Shazier - Dupree at LB.

For the record, I'm not a Tomlin-hater. Being a critic and being a hater are two totally different things. The haters are obvious and I'm not one of them. The Tomlin haters "hate" Tomlin in the same manner they hated the USA's previous president. That's a topic for another discussion and is not football or Steelers related.

I'm a critic of Tomlin, just as I was a critic of Cowher when he was HC. Both had their faults. Examples: Cowher would play turtle/Marty/conservative football, instead of going for "the kill shot" and this would enrage me. Tomlin has never been guilty of this and I applaud him for it. Cowher choked in several more AFC Championship games than Tomlin has... but the jury is still out on that, since Tomlin hasn't been HC as long as Cowher was yet.

Tomlin's record against sub .500 teams on the road has been well documented here. I need not go into specifics on that topic. Tomlin's futility against Belichick and the Patriots is nerve-wracking with the talent he has on hand. Cowher had much more success against Belichick than Tomlin... counting Belichick's Cleveland years.

Gotta agree with this... the Giants beat them twice in the super bowl that way.

It's nice how you worked that politically charged jab in, then pretend to take the high road. Classy.

Well, it's the truth... whether you like it or not.

There's more of that tolerant open minded thinking.

I have a fair amount of disagreement with much of what you’ve said, but since I’m on my phone I’ll limit it to one item: Cowher’s record vs Belichick as coach of the Pats was not good either. Counting Bellichick’s tenure in Cleveland in Cowher’s favor is silly. First, Belichick was a young coach starting out with a lousy team. Second, Belichick didn’t have one of the best QBs of all time. Third - and most importantly- Bellechick hadn’t yet opened up his vein to provide ink to sign his contract with the devil.

The reality is that you’re not going to find a coach with a good long-run record vs Bellechick as the Pats’ coach other than Tom Coughlin’s very limited matchups. I hate it, but the situation is what it is. If consistent performance vs Bellechick over several meetings is the measuring stick there’s no coach out there who will measure up. There are occasional 1 season flashes, but nobody has measured up to that standard. I hate to say it, but John Harbaugh probably comes the closest to breakeven.
